aka the best game ever. My mom recently bought some version of it for Game Boy (because she plays old school games like that), and I've been playing it quite a bit too. There's more than a few modes, but I find them all to be stupid outside of the original. They added some dumb little "helpful" additions as well, such as if you hit the up button, it automatically brings the piece you have down to the bottom, as well as the ability to save pieces for later (I never employ either of these, mind you). And, of course, the king of stupid things on this is the "ghost piece" option, which is automatically set to "On"(and therefore I need to turn it off every time I play), and it tells you where the piece is going to land, which is cheating.
My high score so far is level 13(out of 15), and about 313 lines cleared. I plan to one day win at that game...oh, and when I do, what a glorious day it shall be.
Sigh, well, you're just cooler then me. I don't have the original...but I do have a ROM of hte SNES one, and I did pretty damn well on that.
And I think, in keeping with this new Tetris being stupid, it does end after level 15, because that seems to be the highest it goes (though I've never been passed 13 on my own, I could just skip to 15 if I want...but whatever).
