LAND OF THE DEAD
A small city is surrounded by the living dead, who this time, are starting to show signs of thinking. The survivors inside the fortress can hold off the dead for so long. Then it's lunchtime...
I'm happy George A. Romero is finally able to bring another DEAD movie out. The zombies are getting smarter this time, which could be good or bad, but I think he knows what he's doing.
If this one hits, Romero says there could be another one he'd be happy to write and direct.
From a couple sources, Romero enjoyed the cast and crew, but was having some friction with the Producers and big shots on the set.
The DVD release will be Romero's UNCUT version of the theatrical release, featuring tons of guts.
The Romero zombies in order of favorite first:
1. Dawn of the Dead Classic
2. Day of the Dead (thanks to the zombie make-up and gore)
3. Night of the Living Dead
Land of the Dead was pretty good for a zombie movie. Good amount of zombies, nice gore and head shots, zombies eating, etc. John Leguizamo was a good character, and a couple others too.
I wish this movie raked in a few more bucks at the box office though. Zombie fans only.
LAND OF THE DEAD 8/10, needs more exploration, and should be longer for a Romero movie.
DAY OF THE DEAD 8/10, the best looking zombies, but needs more action/exploration and a little less talk.
DAWN OF THE DEAD 10/10, great exploration zombie film with likeable main characters and tons of zombies.
NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 7/10, being in the house most of the time gets dull.
