Home server showing its age

My little Celeron 2 server is getting on my nerves lately. Recently, I've noticed just how slow it is compared to the dedicated server here (even though I'm the only one using it).

For my internal development, some pages take 1.4-2.0 seconds to parse. The same page on here takes about .3-.5 seconds to parse. phpMyAdmin is painfully slow as well. I might have to turn this BTX piece of crap into my new server. Only problem is that I have no extra large Serial ATA drives. I'll probably break down and buy one.

Serial ATA is overrated..Go SCSI or go home


P.S. I have an extra SCSI controller I'll sell you cheap. All you need is a SCSI Drive.

Serial ATA is catching up to SCSI, fast.

NCQ/TCQ, the 2nd generation speed increase... Serial ATA is looking good.

Besides, with one drive there is hardly a difference, except price.
