Basically, this program, called "City ID", came pre-installed as a "trial" that pops up after incoming phone calls are finished, and asks me whether I want to subscribe to it, or continue the free, 15-day trial. Apparently there's no way to uninstall it, at least not until the "trial" is over. That sucks. I'm not going to "root" it, but it is quite tempting.
Didn't Microsoft get sued over something like this? With Internet Explorer, maybe? And Sony, with their PlayStation3 crap? Apple, too, but now iPhone users can legally jailbreak their phone...
Any ideas for what I can/should do, who to complain to, et cetera?
Yeah, I figured as much. Either way, I figure if enough of us complain... it *might*, just **might** get taken off whenever the 2.2 update comes out. (I'm on 2.1 right now.. and it's current, according to the in-phone update checker thingy.)
