The movie kicked off with some rather annoying plot holes right from the start and if not for the total coolness of Inu-papa and Sesshoumaru this movie would have been lost on me.
The dubbed voices were really quiet and even on max volume we sometimes couldn't do without subtitles. Inuyasha is introduced into the movie with this ridiculous sounding march and it was the same old tunes everywhere else... A few new tracks would have been nice...
The dubs were hard to hear even on maxed volume and we sometimes couldn't do without subtitles. I myself prefer the Japanese w/ subs anway.
The animation was so-so. Every once in a while I would find myself cringing at the weird disproportion of the characters. It was very un-Rumiko like.
Sounga was an interesting enemy with more depth than Menomaru (I'm sorry, but a poison vampire moth is just too cheesy) and a better character design than Princess Kaguya (this was her only flaw as far as I was concerned).
Sesshoumaru has more lines in this movie then he has had in whole series ('DIE WHELP!' doesn't count) and manages to stay true to character.
I wasn't particularily impressed with Inuyasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler but I am reluctant to say it sucked. This definitely a trial type movie.
I actually though tthe animation was better than some episodes.
The plot was kinda engaging for me, the whole fact that Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had to work together, and the mervenarys grudge against inuyasha and his father.
There is one line in the movie that i absolutley love.
I DONT NEED TO PROTECT ANYONE. (god I love sesshomaru)
Music could have been updated definatley, but i enjoy the original tracks all the same.
I think it was good.
I see now that the circumstances of one's birth is irrelevent. It is wat you do with the gift of life that makes you who you are.
I don't understand why the movies and the show have different animation all together? The eyes for Inuyasha (and others) are totally different as is the body style.
2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!
