Open source java... hrmpf I bet the licence will not be FSF-free and the whole thing is just some srupid attempt to stay in buisiness while GNU Classpath and friends mature...

Bleh,

The article just talked about Sun thinking about it. Java would be a more respected platform if it happened. I believe that Java is well entrenched already and that many people use it as a platform. Technically, Java doesn't need to be open sourced.
