Smart move for AMD. Now they can challege Intel on the platform from.

Plus, OEMs will like getting support from a single vendor for the major parts.

Cool maybe one day you can Buy an AMD base Motherboard with ATI Graphics chipset, plus imagine the possibilities in GPU design and Power

The real thing to watch is the CPU/GPU core stuff. I bet we will start seeing multi-core CPUs with really good specialized cores. This is going to be interesting. Hypertransport can support many technologies.

You may see a change. They might open up a bit more, but graphics companies think that they have some magical thing when it comes to drivers. It isn't just Linux drivers that suck for ATI or Nvidia.

This is why I use hacked drivers on Windows.
