My computer is making a bleepy noise

And it never was before.

I swear it's the backup, because it goes on a beepy blitzkrieg and then after like 3 minutes stops. Nothing freezes up on the computer. The computer processes are all at normal levels. Nothing is wrong with the computer, I think.

So what's with the beeping? It only just started too.

I think it may do it when the CPU is off as well, but I'm not quite sure.

Can you describe how it is beeping?

Is it an alarm sounding beep? DOODAADOOODAAA...?

If so, it may be a heat issue.

Also, what type of CPU is it and how many fans are in your case?

Aside from the weirdness of the -128C reading, the temps look fine.

Maybe that beeping is coming from a rogue program or something? No errors or anything show up?

Sounds like she could be talking about the sound that happens when somone falls asleep at the keyboard. Maybe one of the keys is stuck?

No, I have Norton and some spyware stuff and other computer monitoring stuff. All the readings on those are fine.

Like I said, I have a suspicion it's coming from the back-up connected to the computer and not the computer itself. I just don't know how to fix it.

What type of backup is it?

Good question Aron, if the backup is anything like a Garbage truck or a large van backup, it will make a "beep beep beep" noise until it stops backing up.

Do you mean you have a UPS?

If so, the battery may be bad and that's why it is beeping.

Okay good, because my mother is being a total cuntface and telling me to turn the damn thing off everytime it beeps. Which is really annoying because it does it all the time.

If it is an UPS, just turn it off and plug the computer into a surge protector or another UPS that works.
