Odette was packing all of her things, getting ready to leave. Diwo was trying to convince her to not leave, but he found it impossible. Her aunt had returned home a day early, after hearing of the news. Her aunt used to be the only one who knew of Odette being the queen. Now, Blake knew. But Odette didn't care. She wouldn't be seeing Blake again, anyway. He was just another human. . . another one who hated demons. No different from the rest.
"Odette don't leave. L-let me come with you at least." Diwo pleads, following Odette as she strides downstairs to grab her jackets. She sharply turns to look at Diwo, her face stained with tears.
"No. I am going alone." Odette states, her voice remaining strong despite the flooding emotions. She goes back to her room, folding the jackets and placing them in a box. Her aunt had taped several boxes shut, four of them filled with clothes.
Her aunt steps up to her, and places her hands on either side of Odette's face. "Just be careful, okay?" The only thing Odette could do is nod as her tears start to flow again. Her aunt pulls her into a hug, and Odette takes in deep breaths.
Edgley. This was her home. This is where she finally felt like she belonged. Where she was loved. But Odette had been wrong. It was all false. Odette, her aunt and Diwo all carry boxes out to the van. They would then go to the airport. . . and from there she would be flown to Croatia. . .
nyx sighs as she packs up her school things and walks to her locker "stupid teachers.... not my fault i need sleep!" she hisses into her locker as she looks in the mirror of her locker "oh god. i've ruined my makeup!" she frowns, the bags under her eyes evident.
Odette stands with a box in her hands, and she looks at Blake. She replies, "Yes. My father did. My true father. . ." She then walks around him and to the van. Odette slides the box into the trunk. Her aunt walks out with the last box, and then slides into the driver's seat.
"Come on Odette. If you miss your flight you'll have to wait until later tonight." Her aunt calls out as she rolls down the window. Diwo and Odette shake hands, and then Diwo disappears upon Odette's command.
"Don't worry Blake. . . you won't have to see me ever again." Odette tells him as she gets into the passenger's seat, and the van takes off.
The van comes to a quick stop, but with difficulty, and Odette is quick to step out of the vehicle. She steps in front of Blake's bike, and lifts her leg up. She makes him come to a complete stop by placing her foot on the center of the front tire. Odette then takes two steps back, clearly upset.
"What do you think you're doing!? You could have hurt or killed my aunt!" Odette shouts at Blake, stomping a foot on the ground. The tires on the van suddenly return to the way they had been, as if untouched. "Blake I'm leaving. I'll basically be on the other side of the world. So then you don't have to see me again. So then everyone here doesn't have to! But if you want me dead then shoot me right now."
"Blake. Demons don't just kill hunters for the hell of it. They do it to protect their own kind, or for revenge of a fallen one. All demons are connected with one another. We are one giant family. The reason my father killed your parents, is because your parents and a group of hunters killed my mother. I watched as they destroyed her as she tried to protect me. They managed to kill her when she was in human disguise. If she had gone into her true form, the entire world would have been lost. But my mother loved Earth. She loved humans. And she loved to act as one of them. The queen is so much stronger than the king. My dad felt so much pain when she was killed and I was taken. He was in denial. He didn't want to believe what had happened. My mother and father had been together for over thousands of years. Their bond was unbreakable. That's why he killed your parents." Odette speaks out. "And then. . . he killed himself. I felt both of their deaths. I felt every ounce of pain they had. A majority of it was mental. . . not physical. The pain of losing the ones they had loved so deeply. The ones they had spent an eternity with." She grasps onto her chest, and closes her eyes for a moment.
"Your parents thought they had gotten the prophecy. They thought they had deciphered it correctly. But they didn't. And my father couldn't let them know the truth. They wouldn't have understood. NO ONE DOES." Her voice becomes bitter. "The true prophey is of the next demon queen finding the human of a pure heart and baring their child. This child is to signify peace between the human and demon world. No demon wants the human population to be destroyed. Why else would we hide? Why else would we try to act as humans? But your parents destroyed that. They destroyed the chance of the prophecy coming true by bringing grief to the demon kingdom. Happiness in the demon kingdom was obliterated by your parents idiotic actions, Blake!"
She throws her arms out wide and opens her eyes. Her voice remains strong as she continues, "I've lowered all defenses. Shoot me as many times as you please. Do whatever you want. Kill me. But I just don't want to see you again! Because I love you. And it hurts. It hurts to be thought of as a monster by the one you love."
Her tears start to break free, but she continues to smile, "Listen to me. . . I say I love you. Isn't that crazy? Something like me shouldn't even have a feeling. Yet I do. That's why I lost it the night my adoptive mother was killed. Because she meant the world to me. Love. . . I do not believe that sheer suffering teaches. If suffering alone taught, all the world would be wise, since everyone suffers. To suffering must be added mourning, understanding, patience, love, openness and the willingness to remain vulnerable. I'm vulnerable. . . My human father always said that love is nonsense - I tell you it is no such thing. For weeks and months it is a steady physical pain, an ache about the heart, never leaving one, by night or by day; a long strain on one's nerves like toothache or rheumatism, not intolerable at any one instant, but exhausting by its steady drain on the strength. I know because since the day I saw you in school my heart did this little jump, and for once in my life I was speechless." She allows the tears to flow, and quietly laughs.
"But I am a monster. I know I am. It's what I am. Who I am. And the way you look at me. Your eyes are like windows. You absolutely hate me, and you want to see my blood. You want to see the blood of your family's killer's daughter. That's why I want to leave. Because then you don't have to look at me anymore and I don't have to look at you! But if you want to kill me then do it! Do it right now! Because this will be your last chance, Blake!" Odette stands straight with her arms still out wide.
"Odette!" Her aunt gasps, scurrying out of the van, eyes wide with terror. But she freezes at the sight of the gun in Blake's hand.
Ed had walked Nyx to her house, and he looks at her in concern. "Make sure you get some rest." He smiles.
"blake knows." she states " he called last night and the phone woke me up so i answered.... he badmouthed my brother! and when i told him to at least say my brothers name correctly he became silent...." she shuddered
"i think he's a h-hunter ed.... and he thinks i'm using you...." she frowns "w-what if he comes after me or he tries to take you away from me...." she whimpered, close to tears.
"That's not going to happen, and there's no way that he's a hunter. . . I would know. . . my father was one." His voice drops, and a frown forms on his face as he looks away from Nyx and at his feet.
"But don't worry. Even if he tries to do anything, I'll stand in front of you and take every hit." Ed looks at her once more, his hands forming fists.
"b-but then you get hurt instead...." she says, this was the nicest thing a boy who wasn't her older brother had said to her.
she shakes her head slightly " n-no i won't allow them to hurt you ed! not him or my brother!" she hisses "and so what if your father was a hunter? you're mine and that's all that matters!" she states firmly.
Blake holds the gun up his hand shaking.."so that makes it OK...you think I wasn't connected to my parents I didn't feel their deaths.. I am tired of this ...you demons are supposed to be perfect and innocent when hunter's came into being after humans were being eaten that DOG diwo tried to kill me for what reason.. his sister didn't care probably didn't even tell Ed " he says
"He wanted to kill you because he knew you were a threat. He could smell this on you. He knew this was coming." Odette states, not lowering her arms as she continued to just stand there. But she takes several steps forward until the gun is to her heart. "Go ahead. Pull the trigger. No one is going to blame you Blake. If anything, you'll be thought of as a hero."
"And like I said. Demons had 200 hundred years of peace until humans saw them as monsters and killed them for absolutely no reason. The peace-breakers, the ones who caused demons to become killers, were known as the first demon hunters, thought of as heroes amongst humans. Just as you will be when you kill me." Odette tells him as she holds the gun in place to her heart, so he cannot pull the weapon away. His only option would be to shoot.
Ed nods at Nyx as he hugs her, and takes in a deep breath. "I will forever be yours. No matter what. We will get over all obstacles."
"stupid human boys....they never let me have what i want without a fight...." she mutters "and that was before my consort..... now i've stupid demon and human boys to fight" she curses as she holds onto him, still shaking.
"and i will be forever yours too~ if neither of us dies that is~" she giggles.
Blake wakes up ..in hell where he is surrounded by demons ..one of the demons approach.." another hunter come to be tortured.. and no queen to protect you.. Diwo told us how soft she's become.. well we're not" he says as they begin to torture Blake his screaming can be heard all throughout hell
Odette sits on the road, holding onto Blake's body. She glances up at her aunt, who is holding a phone. "We could call 911 and then leave. . ." Her aunt whispers, placing a hand on Odette's shoulder. Slowly, Odette rises.
"I'm leaving." Odette whispers. Her aunt gets ready to dial, but Odette looks at her aunt, the tears running down her face. Her aunt's eyes widen to twice their size as she shakes her head, and also begins to cry.
"But you know that if you go then you can't return to this world. Those of royal blood are made to remain on Earth. Nowhere else." Her aunt's voice cracks as she sobs, her body trembling.
"But Blake doesn't deserve it. This was my fault. . . I'm the one who deserves it. . ." Odette whispers, wiping her tears away. She then gives her aunt a big hug and a bright smile. "I'm glad that you were the only human to accept me into this world. I thank you." With a bow, Odette is gone.
Odette appears in Hell. It was warm, and filled with demons. She glides forward, following the sound of a scream. When she finds Blake, a large towering figure stands before her. She looks up to see her father.
"I have come as this boy's replacement." Odette says to her father. The devil. "Mother is not here. . . she died as a human and was passed into the true place. Paradise. But those who are tortured are tortured for an eternity. I will take his place. And this is an order, father."
"Regina. . . my daughter. . ." He lightly smiles, running a hand through her hair. "You're so much like your mother. Kind to all humans, no matter how they treat you. . . My soldiers. . . release the boy. He has been given the queen's life. A second chance." Tears swell in his eyes as he looks at Blake, and then at the demons who were torturing him. Odette is suddenly where Blake had been as Blake vanishes in a burst of flames. But Odette didn't so much as cry. The only pain she felt was mental. Not physical.
Odette's aunt is kneeling beside Blake, and she gasps as she hears him begin to breathe again.
"We won't die. I'll make sure of it." Ed chuckles as his grip tightens on Nyx.
"Odette took your place. She gave you her life. She said you didn't deserve it. . . she did. She said it was her fault. She felt terrible, you know. . ." Her aunt answers, looking at his healed bullet wound. "You must be pretty proud of yourself, huh, hunter? You managed to get rid of her. You couldn't just let her leave. She was going to leave this country for you. But you couldn't let her. You had to make her suffer."
Blake shoots himself again going back to hell.. he finds odette..." you can only save me once.. don't your people need a leader that's very selfish of you.." he says taking his spot back the souls of dead humans grab her and bring her to paradise for her selfless act "there you can still rule your people" he says hugging her before she is taken
(Haha that can't happen XD. . . even if he shot himself again he would actually become a ghost. . . Odette commanded her father that she take his place. No turning back on the queen's demands XD And she can't go to Paradise. She's a demon. And Paradise is where the spirit fully passes on.)

History/Info: Flynn was eleven years old when he watched his parents get killed by demons right in front of him. But Flynn knew that there was a reason. . . though he doesn’t know what it is. In reality, his parents were killed by the demon because his parents were hunters. Two days before their death they had killed off the demon’s entire family. . . and because Flynn had nothing to do with its family’s death, Flynn was allowed to live. He was traumatized, due to the extreme violence. But, Flynn didn’t let the memories place any weight on his shoulders. And when he learned of the reason for the demon killing his parents, he was still upset, but a bit relieved, especially after hearing that his parents had been killing hundreds of demons – all of whom had done absolutely nothing. Also, being demon hunters, they knew that death would be inevitable. They had brought it on themselves. That’s what Flynn believes in. As Flynn grew up, he actually befriended a lot of demons, ones who are disguised as humans and ones who were disguised as animals. He actually owns a golden retriever named Barry, who is actually a demon in disguise.
Extra: Flynn lives with his grandparents, who know nothing of demons.
“Everyone has a reason for doing something. That includes demons. Because they have just as much of a conscience as we do. So. . . why treat them any differently? I mean. . . We’re sharing the same air, aren't we?"
