: L O S T . D E M O N :

"Give it a second." Monty holds up a finger to silence Blake. The entire room begins to shake, and then all of the lights go out. Then, there is silence as everything becomes still.

Each light flickers on, one after the other. The room had changed, and standing in the middle of an open-centered, large, rounded table are Blake and Monty.

"Blake Ryse. You wish to become a hunter?" A voice comes from one of the chairs. There are a dozen shadowed out figures that sit at the edge of the table.

"Yes. i do" he says

"Do you think you have what it takes to become a hunter?" A female voice calls out, the tone bitter.

Blake looks in her direction.. "yes i do believe i have what it takes" he replied

"Are you willing to make sacrifices? To leave the ones you love and dedicate your life to being with Syndicate." An older and louder voice rings out, causing the dark room to rumble.

He thinks for a moment..."Yes" he says.. believing that Odette would understand

"You will begin training tomorrow. Today we must put you into the system. Say good bye to your parents and friends. Because first thing tomorrow you will be sent off to the German base." Another, younger, voice states. "That is all. For now."

The lights turn off and the room once again shakes. Suddenly, Monty and Blake are back in the vacant hallway.
"Well, that was easy." Monty laughs at Blake as he starts walking back towards the area with offices. "But that's just the first step. There's still a lot that must be done. But, you'll get to that point tomorrow in Germany! Where the German council shall show you some. . . videos."

"Ok" blake says watching the videos

(Videos aren't until he gets to Germany. The German Council will end up showing him along with the other newbies.)

Blake goes home.." baby come over please" he says calling.."can u hurry teleport please"

"Of course!" Odettte says, instantly at Blake's side. She smiles at him and asks, "What's up?"

He kissed her ..."hunter council want me to go to Germany tomorrow" he says

"Th-that's far away. . ." Odette's eyes widen slightly as she looks at him, and then frowns.

"I know but you can teleport there" he says

"Teleport there?" Odette tilts her head slightly, the frown now sketched upon her face. "Blake. . . is this what you meant by moving?"

"Kinda I will have to travel a lot"

Odette nods, curling one of her hands into a fist as she looks away from Blake. "Well. . . I hope you have fun with that."

nyx raises her head slightly at the smell of food and thanks dianne graciously as she eats it, not taking her eyes off of ed.

Dianne had taken her seat at Nyx's side once more. "I'm getting ready to just scream at him to wake up. . . " Her voice cracks. "I want to scream at the top of my lungs."

"you're welcome to.....i was up all night just talking to him.....i keep waiting for him to reply...." she says sorrowfully as she finishes her food.

Dianne gives a weakened smile as she trembles, and takes in a deep breath. "No." She holds onto Ed's hand. "I won't scream. Not here. The doctor said to speak in a positive way around him."

She then looks at Nyx and asks, "So what kinds of things would you and Ed do or talk about?"

" uxually we'd sit and watch t.v or just talk..." she states " usually it's about books.... because unlike the blonde bimbos in school i can read" she laughed lightly.

"What do you mean have fun with that your not coming along with me" he says

"Reading. Eddy definitely got that from his father. Eddy would be two years old and carry around all of the encyclopedias. A curious child. He wanted to understand the world. That's exactly what Eddy told us when he was five." Dianne exhales, the memories swarming like insects. She shoos them away for the moment.

"Would you be okay with reading to him tonight? Or I could, if you'd think it's too awkward." Dianne kindly chuckles.

Odette looks at Blake and sighs. She then frowns and says, "Blake I don't want to live the rest of my life constantly having to move around. I love you Blake, I love you SO much." The tears burn her eyes. "But I can't. Edgley is my home." Her voice cracks as she continues, "And I can't just follow you around the world and watch you killing demons. I may be a criminal right now. But I'm still the queen. And they are still my people. The pain I feel when each one is killed. . . I feel it. I feel all of it. It's a curse for being queen."

nyx smiles at this and nods " no i'll read to him and i know just what to read to him...." she states "i just need my brother to bring it." she says as she gets up and calls diwo outside of the room.

Diwo had been taking a nap. He was up all night, worried about Nyx. When he sees her name with the caller ID, he is quick to answer. "Nyx! Is everything okay? What's going on?"

"d-diwo he's...he's in a coma" she whimpers "b-but i need you to do something for me ok?" she says trying not to cry again.

" i need you to pick me out some clothes for me to change into....these have his blood on them..." she says weakly "and i need you to get all of my shakespear and bring them here."

"I'll be there as soon as possible!" Diwo gasps, leaping off the couch in Nyx's living room and rushing to her room. "Hey, hang in there sis. Love ya." He hangs up and places the phone in his pocket.

Diwo begins to rummage through Nyx's closet, picking out clothes that seemed comfortable. He throws them in a bag and then slings it onto his back. Diwo then makes his way to the bookshelf, skimming through the authors. He whistles at the sight of how many books there were, but only grabs all of the ones by Shakespeare and sets them carefully in a box.

He walks out of her house and locks the door, and then heads out to his car, placing the bag of clothes and the box of books on the seat beside him.

Diwo makes it to the hospital, and is brought to Ed's room. He lightly smiles at Nyx, and hands her the bag as he sets the box down beside her chair.

"t-thanks mutt...." she laughs lightly as she hugs him "i'm real greatful yeah? did everyone b-behave w-when i left?" she asks, trying to put off her despair.

"did the family all stay in their rooms? i-is my room still burnt? a-and is the demon still knocked out?" she asks.

"No then I won't be a hunter" he says gripping her and pulling her into a hug
