"Blake. . . but you want to be a hunter. This is what you've had your mind set on. I don't want to hold you back from that." Odette shakes her head, crying harder at the thought of destroying what. . . who Blake wanted to be.

"Everything is perfectly fine at home despite us being worried, and I cleaned your room. Got some new curtains. It looks as good as new, if not better." Diwo laughs, hugging Nyx tightly. He then looks at Ed, and all of the machines hooked up to him. There are so many of them.

"No I want to protect those I love I don't need to be a hunter to do that"he replied

Odette wraps her arms around Blake, thanking him repeatedly as the tears freely stream down her face. She still had to get back to the hospital to give Ed his gift. But, she didn't want to move away from Blake. Not yet.

"d-don't leave until i come home ok? a-and even then you have the be within walking distance.... i need my big brothers for this one...." she whimpers.

"and i'll judge your fashion sense now ok? j-just watch him while i change....." she says quietly as she takes the clothes and walks off to a nearby bathroom.

Diwo nods as he takes Nyx's chair, and heavily sighs. "Look at you. . ." He says, his eyes resting on Ed. "You're a wreck. . ." He then looks over at Dianne, whose eyes are locked onto Ed, and her hand is wrapped over his.

"Go see Ed I will let the council know my decision" he says

Odette sniffles as she pulls away, and gives him a kiss. She nods before teleporting back to the hospital, finding her gift bag still in the same spot that she had left it.

nyx walks back to the room, dressed and looking somewhat better thanks to no more smeared makeup or knotted hair.

"diwo. you still dissapoint me with your dress sense...." she says, lightly laughing " but you did well for once" she smiles as she walks over to him and instead of looking at him as she talks, she stares at ed.

watching someone breathe has never both releived nor frustrated her so much as this.

" is cer sleeping in your bed? you know how bad he is of a night.....when he's alone...." she says.

At that question, Diwo sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. But he chuckles, "Yeah, Cer has been sleeping in my bed." He nods.

Diwo gets to his feet and hugs Nyx once more. "I need to get home to inform the others, okay? If you want me to stay then I shall. . ." He frowns, concerned for his little sister.

Odette walks into the room, her footsteps silent. At the sight of Ed, her eyes become twice their original size and she nearly drops her gift bag. "Oh god. . . Ed."

"yeah diwo....you give cer a kiss on the cheek for me and a twenty to keep mammon from seeing her big sis like this ok?" she asks him as she sees odette.

"hi odette....h-hes in a coma r-right now so he....he can't hear you...." she whimpers, her bottom lip quivering.

If possible, Odette's eyes seemed to widen even more. "A. . . coma?" It's clear that she was in disbelief.

"Don't forget to take care of yourself," Diwo whispers to Nyx, giving his sister a peck on the forehead before leaving the hospital.

nyx nods at her " they want to pull the plug if he's not awake in a month....i'm not letting them." she hisses

Blake calls Monty..."sorry Monty I can't become a hunter"

"A month? That's horrible. . ." Odette says, frowning. She sets the gift bag down on the desk, her eyes still on Ed.

"You can't? well why not?" Monty wonders aloud.

nyx nods at odette "b-but i'm hoping that i-if i just sit here and r-read to him and t-talk him through it....he'll...he'll wake up" she says, pain evident in her eyes "i mean, you'd be the same if it happened to blake.... "

"and it isn't until a moment like this that you thank the creator for the abilities to breathe and have a beating heart...." she closes her eyes, afraid tears might spill.

"H-hey." Odette gasps, quickly going over to Nyx and pulling her into a hug. "It's okay to cry. It's not healthy to hold it back. Just let it out. . ."

"He will wake up. Because you're not giving up on him. . . he will wake up." Odette whispers, holding onto Nyx.

" which is why i won't cry" she hisses " i won't. i'll save that for payback for when he wakes up." she laughs " till then the only crying i'll do is at the end of romeo and juliet.... cause i'm looking after him as long as i can and then i'm tearing the attacker to shreds" she hisses.

"nobody messes with my mate like this and lives." she snarls, eyes turning red causing her to sigh as she hugs odette tightly "it's so hard to not let them show.... he loves my horns and my tail... and i'd let them out in a second for him if it helped but i can't in front of them odette.... i'llonly hurt him more if i hurt myself" she frowns.

Odette couldn't help but laugh as she nods. She then takes in a deep breath, closing her eyes for a moment. She opens her eyes, looking at Ed with another frown. It was strange, seeing him like this. Odette had known Ed for three years now. But she never expceted to see him this way.

"Do you want to let out your horns and tail? I could make sure that no one else sees." Odette tells her.

she looks at odette with such gratitude at this "yes please. i'm dying to just look at him with MY eyes...." she says as she looks at dianne " dianne are you asleep?" she asks carefully.

There wasn't a reaction from the woman, and Odette quietly giggles. She takes a step back from Nyx, and closes her eyes. She whispers an incantation from the royal family, and then releases a heavy breath. Odette opens her eyes and they glow a slight golden. "There you go~ no human will be able to see your horns or tail." Odette chimes, smiling at Nyx.

"Sorry I love her guess being a hunter wasn't meant for me" he says

"Is this your final decision, Blake. You're choosing lo- ?" Monty questions, taking a big drink of his coffee and then slamming a fist against the desktop in his office.

"MIKEY! YOU MADE THIS ONE TOO BITTER!" Monty shouts, waving a fist in the air. "GET IT RIGHT NEXT TIME OR I'LL FORCE THIS SHIT DOWN YOUR THROAT!"

"My apologies sir." Michael gasps, scurrying into the room, taking the cup, and running out.

Monty clears his throat, "Back to the question. You're choosing love over the path that your family had walked down?"

"I will create a new path besides she is my everything I wanted to be a hunter to protect those I love but there's no point in it if they are unhappy if I'm not around.. you guys do just fine I'm just one man you guys do just fine" he says with a heavy sigh

"My king he is giving up his birthright for Regina" lycos says

"He's. . ." The king closes his eyes and tightens his grip on the scepter as it glows from red to golden.

"You've got a good heart. Pure. Pure because you know what you want and who you really want to be. You've taken your own path. I like that." Monty laughs, twirling in his chair. "I have a present for you, Blake. It should be there pretty soon. Don't worry about getting killed or anything for having them. You've deserved them. They are the best things we have. And the only. And they're all yours."

As soon as Monty finished speaking, a bike arrives and comes to a stop at Blake's side. Attached to the bike. . . is Andreus' sword.

"Be a good kid Blake. Stay safe." Monty says before hanging up.

she hisses in releif as they unleash themselves and walks over to a chair, picking up a blanket, she puts it over dianne.

"i can't think you enough" she says to odette

"Hey, what are friends for?" Odette lightly laughs, walking over to stand at the side of the bed.

Blake tears up...."thanks if you ever need help in edgly fighting demons just call" he said in a text to Monty as he gets on the motorcycle and goes to the hospital

Odette places a hand against Ed's cheek. He seemed so relaxed. . . was there anyting going through his mind? Or was he lost?

"I can't believe this. . ." Odette whispers, her eyes then resting on the machines.

Blake walks in..."how is he doing" he asked

Odette knew just by touching Ed. "Same as yesterday. . ." She sighs, folding her arms over her chest and blinking the tears away.
