Apparently Google is removing a hell of a lot of copyrighted content from YouTube accounts. Such things as Comedy Central shows and similar. Will YT survive, or will be left with loneygirl15 all our lives?
They would be going after Myspace next as there are some music videos there as well. I don't know why Viacom is going after Youtube and besides they barely play those videos on tv anyway.
I figured it was bound to happen anyway. The networks want to be able to regulate the repeats of their shows on their own websites. This way they can force you to watch advertisements and make more money. In the end, YouTube will just be a place for people to put their homemade videos and that's it.
Well, YouTube is going to have the ability to profit share the adsense/ads revenue with those that have unique content. So, viacom can get a director's account and create their own channel and profit from it then.
