Graphics card question. Sat Mar 17, 2007 6:24:03 PM#35761Perm Link
Okay, I've finally decided that I want to update the old, stinky MX440 computer. Now I'm stuck in a rut.
I've read articles and whatnot, and they have come to a draw: GeForce 6600GT or GeForce 6800 vanilla? From what I've read, its insanely easy to make a 6800 vanilla crazy fast, but the 6600GT is the faster (slightly) of the two most of the time stock.
Suggestions?
Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today? Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection. Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!
Wait till the new graphics cards are released very soon and then upgrade with the last generation of cards.
Thats always the best way to do it, really. They always seem to drop in price by almost half or more afteer the next gen comes out not even a year later :/
I'm going to echo the others. I always wait until the new things are released then hit a few top online spots for the top of the line of the previous generation. It's kept me and my gaming very very happy!
