Mozilla Releases Firefox Updates

Make sure to update your browser and email client if you run Mozilla. <a href="http://news.com.com/2110-1002_3-6169144.html">Set Firefox to autoupdate and it should be good</a>. Mine updated yesterday. As a reminder, if you are running anything pre-2.0 (such as 1.5 or 1.0.7) you should upgrade now.

Mozilla on Monday released security updates for Firefox 2 and Firefox 1.5. Security updates for Firefox 1.5 will be available only until April 24, 2007, when Mozilla will stop supporting the earlier version. Mozilla is encouraging current 1.5 users to upgrade to 2.0 soon. Current users of Firefox 2.0 and 1.5 will receive an automatic update notification and will need to reload the browser for the changes to take effect. Changes in this update patch a flaw in the FTP protocol used by Firefox.

I'm sure I should update to 2.0 soon. Still isn't gonna happen until the deadline.

That is true, and my Windows XP SP1 proves that.

But I am muhc more warmed over to 2.0 than I was when it launched, due to me installing and using it at school.

I can't (as of Firefox 2.0.0.1) set it up to how I want visually. 2.0.0.3 may have fixed this, or perhaps 2.0.0.2 did.

I like Firefox, but the problem I found with it is that some sites are not totally compatible with it. Specially some banking sites are not allowing Firefox users to all the features they offer. I had to quit firefox and enter again with Safari. I hope that prob lem got solved somehow.
