I am calling out any other Grey's Anatomy addicts! I swear, my week revolves around Thursdays because of this show. I think every episode seems to have surprises that make my husband and I gasp and then laugh.
I can't wait to see what disaster has happened in the upcoming episodes.
I just hope Grey's NEVER becomes what E.R. is now.
Anyone else LOVE LOVE this show??
This is the first year that I have started watching this show and I love it. I am watching the first two seasons on Monday nights because they are starting at the beginning. So I actually get to watch it twice a week.
I actually enjoyed last season much more than this season thus far, my wife is still pretty addicted and I still watch, but I'm not quite as into it as I thought I'd be this year
I am not sure what is happening with Isaiah Washington, honestly. I still wonder if he will be written out of the show. It would seem that he has caused such controversy and such a feeling of unrest on the set that ABC would consider him a liability. They could send him off on some mission trip or something.
I keep wondering how what happened will effect his scenes with "George". It can't be easy for them to be serious and pensive together after all that happened. George needs to be upset with Dr. Burke, and that will allow true emotion to come out.
I wonder if keeping him might not be a great way to draw more people to the show. After all, there are those that may tune in simply to see if they can detect any real life animousity rolling over into the make believe action on the show.
So, was that foreshadowing on the last show or what? First, they show Meredith under water, as if she is going to drown herself. Then, she falls right into the bay! It does seem that only Meredith and "McDreamy" can see the little girl. It was odd how the little girl seemed to vanish momentarily into thin air in one scene. Could she be a figment of their imagination? Perhaps... she is a representation of Meredith's very sad childhood?
OK.. so, I am a bit miffed at Grey's Anatomy. I mean, do the producers and writers REALLY think that we will think for one second that they are going to kill off Meredith? I mean, it is *GREY'S* Anatomy for goodness sakes. This isn't much of a cliffhanger for me. I know Meredith will be fine. I think a major issue is McDreamy will probably think that Meredith purposely drowned herself.
I am sick of Izzy, too, and her constant complaining about Calli. Why is it her business?
If I could change one thing with the show, I'd stop having the mediocre songs playing as a soundtrack whenever somebody gets close to death. I think it ruins the scenes when they do that.
Has anybody else noticed the use of that music? Do you like it?
You are *SO* right!! My husband even gave that comment. I think since there is a new 'wave' of songs that soar to popularity after being featured on a hot TV show, they are doing it more and more. It is like they say "Song featured on Grey's Anatomy" and they'll have more people buy it.
To me, if you have too much background music during a scene, it seems as though they are trying to manipulate my emotions. I don't like that.
Yeah, that seems to be the trend today. Even some of the soaps are having guest star singers who pop up in town to do a show that happens to feature their latest release. Of course, television and music has been a combination that has meant revenue generation ever since tv made Ricky Nelson a teen idol in the late Fifties and the exposure that the Monkees got with their music being used in what essentially were video segments of their tv show was one big reason they outsold the Beatles in 1967.
I have to agree that I can't stand the guest star singers that "pop up" as themselves. While I certainly don't mind hearing music in the intro and even music in *some* parts of the scene (like if they were in a club or bar where music would already be played), I can't stand the constant push of music. I have no choice but hear it, and I don't like them forcing it onto me.
I watched this show one time, because of everything I have heard about it. I don't know, maybe because it is like a soap opera, I just didn't get it. I probably needed to know more from the beginning.
I caught an episode. I wouldn't say it's bad, I just didn't like it =\
Incidentally, Grey's cast and crew are huge fans of Scrubs (or were) and have even mimicked storylines and paid homage to it. since they're inspired by Scrubs, it's very likely that their use of music in the episodes is because that's one of the things Scrubs does a lot. Using music to accent a scene.
Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?
They need to make it more clear ahead of time that it's going to be an old episode...It disappoints me when I wait around for a re-run.
Same with Desperate Housewives...it's all ABC's fault!
If the two hour special goes over there will be Grey's twice a week with a spin off that will revolve at the hospital.
Are you talking about the possibility of a spinoff surrounding Addison? I guess I just can't imagine! And, the spin-off will take place at the same hospital? Will some of the Grey's stars make cameos? I have heard that some of the primary Grey's players aren't very happy that Addison is the one possibly getting a spinoff.
Yes, I read that also that they are not real happy that Addison is the one getting a spinoff. To be honest I was kind of surprised she was the one doing a spinoff. But then again I had not heard they were even considering one. I totally agree about the reruns. It drives me nuts when I stop doing what I was doing thinking I am going to watch and then it ends up being a rerun.
I love Greys Anatomy too.... I never was much of an ER fan but for some reason when Greys Anatomy came out I had to see it and was addicted instantly. Love that show!
