I designed my own solar powered water heater and build everything including the welding of the copper pipes to make the panel, and the water tank and everything it was cool...i should have won first place tho not second =[

That's great! I was watching a documentary about how they make the solar cells, and they are very simple but complicated at the same time. Are you using it in your house? Where do you live that it is possible to use?
i didnt make mine with cells, i used copper piping and welded it toegether its rele good if i knew how to add pictures i would lol but i dont know how sry

Oh! I think I know what you did. A couple I know moved to a rural area where they had to build everything because there was nothing in there. They did build a solar powered electric plant, but before, they had already hot water: He put a very garden hose curled around over a ceiling that was metal, and had water in it, it was maybe 20 meters from the house where they took the shower. So, when they opened the water it was already heated by the sun, and they had hot water during the day and warm at night. I wish you could upload a picture of it,but I can imagine it.
