Song that makes you cry?

Is there any song that just makes you want to cry? There are songs that to me are sometimes so touching, and they bring tears to my eyes. OK, maybe it's a girl thing, but sometimes I just look for a song that will give me a good cry when I need one.

"Give Up and Let it Go" and "Good Life" both by Francis Dunnery always make me cry. They both talk about finding ways to let your past be your past and to move forward without regret.

"Angel Amoung Us" by Alabama. This song gets me balling everytime. There are a few others but this one is the worst one for me.

"She's Leaving Home" - The Beatles
It was played at my friend's funeral 5 years ago..and the lyrics relate to her death..she went home Wednesday morning from school, she said she was sick, she left the world that day, her body was found at 5:00...The Beatles was her favorite band.

I don't know if it necessarily makes me want to cry, but "Cat's in the Cradle" has always struck a chord with me

Well some of the good RnB songs like Luther Vandross and also Mary J Blige does. And also Mariah Carey old slow songs does the trick too.

The one song that always makes me cry is "Angel" by Sarah McLachlin. Of course, a boyfriend of mine committed suicide right when this song came out, so every time I heard it he would come to mind. That was years ago, but I still have to choke back tears when I hear those beginning chords.

I've always found that "Dream Of A Child" by Burton Cummings stirred up emotions, but I'm not sure why. The lyrics are interesting, but on the surface they don't seem to deal with tragedy as directly as some songs do, probably because they're describing dreams.

Fat Joe and lil' Wayne - Make it rain.

No song really makes me cry =\ But The Smiths' Suffer Little Children is pretty damn sad.

Hm.....I don't think I've ever had a song that makes me cry or be sad.

There hasn't been any song that could bring me to tears but hearing Go With the Flow by Queens of the Stone Age and then watching the video at the time of my friend's death last year (the 2nd in a 4 month span) and finding comparisons really made me shiver. It's been my favorite song and ringtone ever since.

Fallout boys terribleness makes me cry does that count? along with pretty much every newish band on MTV that has 0 talent and plays the same cords and sings the same lyrics over and over but its catchy so people like it. that also makes me cry.

Hah...I don't like Fall Out Boy but I like watching the commercial because every time, that guy makes me laugh. At first I thought it was nerdy but then I thought of him as one of those prankster jocks I used to go to high school with and it makes me giggle.

I can think of a few songs. Definitely "My Heart Will Go On," though it's been pretty over-exposed. Also, "The Wind Beneath My Wings" and Josh Groban's "To Where You Are."

On Broadway, I can't listen to "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" from Les Miz without tearing up, and "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera usually gets me pretty good as well.

Fuckin' Titanic!

What always makes me cry is the song from the Crow Sountrack... "It Can't Rain All The Time", everytime I hear that song... tears just flow. It's so sad and depressing.

Cats in the Cradle does pull on those heartstrings, doesn't it?

How about Baker Street? There's something about how lost and sad the whole song feels.

I remember when I hit puberty I cried like mad over The Beatles' Nowhere Man. It seems kind of silly now that I think about it.

Free Bird from Lynard Skynard. It was my dad's fav. song. They played it at his funeral when he died 6 years ago. And ever since every time I hear it I tear up a little bit.

I'm going to seem so very anti-cool, but I always cry at U2's "Miss Sarajevo." It takes me back to the weird time after 9-11, when it felt as though life would never be normal again.
