Actually, VU Games (those bastards) bought Activision. The new company will be called Activision Blizzard. <a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7123582.stm">Most people will be hoping that Activision stays away from the Blizzard games</a>. Blizzard is known for quality. It was unfortunate when VU Games bought a stake in them considering they (VU Games) suck hard.

And as game companies get bigger, they start sucking more and more. Take EA for example. Their games were good until they started pushing all this EA Tracks BS and other nonsense into their games.

The difference, of course, was that EA started sucking on a major scale way before they became the Microsoft of video games; and Activision is still pretty awesome. However, from what I've surmised, this merger was more so Vivendi could latch onto the Activision name and retail friendliness. Activision won't have input into VU, and vice versa.

Perhaps we'll be seeing a World of Tony Hawk-craft sometime soon?

I don't think this is a good thing at all. Gaming companies are seriously lacking creativity lately. There needs to be more smaller companies with less time constraints and strangleholds on creativity.

VU Games sucks. Period.

I bought a game from them that they dropped support on a month after release.
