Day 1 coverage of CES 2008: One of largest consumer electronics shows in the world. CES is one of the best shows and is impossible to do the entire show in the four days.
I've never been a fan of retractable USB drives. They always manage to get dirty.
The wireless USB hubs are something I've been interested in for a while now, and I'm glad to see them in force at the show.
Also, the Logitech Di Nuvo Mini is a pretty awesome keyboard, I must say. As you say, great for media center computers (I've also heard rumours that it will be PS3 compatible).
Sub-notebooks are also a great idea, and I know someone who recently bought one. They are a good alternative for an average computer user rather than a crappy Dell or something similar. They don't like memory/graphic intensive programs at all (they even stumble in Firefox).
Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today? Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection. Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!
