Big Screen to DVD? Old Wed Feb 4, 2004 11:19:53 AM #4188 Perm Link
I'm talking in legal terms here people. Would you favor a movie that is out in theatres to be released on DVD within a week? I'm going to predict that this will happen seeing as how there is more money to be made with DVD's then theatres. $15 for a DVD when a movie ticket is (for example) $8.50? In an economical point of view I see it to make more sense to do this. Cut back on costs, and increase profits. Lost in Translation is in theatres right now and yesterday the DVD was released, WITH all the bonus features. The beginning of a trend?

The beginning of a new era!!!

I think it may be a good idea, another reason to stay home on a Friday night. But...then a bunch of people would be out of jobs...AND there's kind of a stereotype established that anything that comes straight to DVD and/or VHS sucks massive cock (stereotype set by Disney).

Screw the people with the jobs they can go work at McDonalds and yes many people do think a movie sucks if it comes out right away. But its a good idea to do it because it would make more money.

True but they can just go get a crummier job at McDonalds or Burger King because fast food restuarants will hire anyone.
