Speaking personally, I never saw the point of small form factor flash drives. They aren't particularly smaller than the equivalent SD Card, they often cost the same (or more) than the equivalent SD card, and they usually aren't as durable as the equivalent SD card. Throw in the low speeds they usually have, the lack of usability compared to SD cards and the fact that most computers these days come with built-in SD readers and the problem just gets more pronounced.
