Yeah I think it is a genre like the movies they curse to much in like The Blair Witch Project because I wouldn't know anywhere else to classify it because it wasn't scary.
I usually think of low budget movies as B Movies.
It sort of is similar to Silent Hill. It's a real mind-screwer, and there's a lot of ways it can be taken. It's a very good movie.
It takes place in an abandoned insane asylum in which a fiber crew is going to clean out for various..eh..fibers if that's any incentive for you. The place is like the definition of creepy, and so are the "sessions" which are basically old recordings of sessions a psychatrist was having with a patient there. The patient has multiple personalities, and a voice to fit each one. Ahh, reallyreally creepy! Especially the ending. Gives me chills.
Oh! Yeah, a lot of B movies I find to be really good. Some suck and some are good but incredibly weird. Was Clerks a B movie? Or was it made like it was on purpose? (I heard the budget on the movie was REALLY low, something like 25 grand)
*nodd* See when I was thinking B movie, I was thinking of...well, like on that old cartoon "The Angry Beavers" ^_^ They watched movies like "The Spleen" that were made to be very cheesy. That's the kind of movie I was talking about
Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?
i like any movie with violence, action, death, destruction, laughter. i think those movies are good sometimes. i like history movies too especially war movies.
I see now that the circumstances of one's birth is irrelevent. It is wat you do with the gift of life that makes you who you are.
Kill Bill: Vol. 1, artistically speaking, a pretty good movie. They could do without the cursing every 5 seconds though. My favorite genre would be sci-fi/fantasy, which is a BIG genre. That includes the Matrix Trilogy, LotR, X2 (much better than the first), and anime (in most cases).
OoPart: an artifact that "seems" to be out of context with the surrounding evidence.
Ex.: A fossilized footprint of a human child containing a fossil of a crushed trilobite. Pronounced O-Part.
Well, that's Quentin Tarentino for ya, just don't go see Pulp Fiction. I hope I wasn't the only one disturbed by the whole "My name's buck and I'm here to fuck" thing.
yeah that was disturbing...but that's one of my fav. movies...I think ppl should see it...it's halarious...
I enjoy horror movies that are, really, my kind-of comedy because, well, they're funny...I like comedy also...I like drama and action films...drama being Clockwork Orange, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction...blah blah blah...yeah I feel as if I typed this already...oh no, there's a glitch in the system (I have dejavu)...
Dogma was good,Shawshank(not sure of spelling though) Redemption,Freddy vs Jason was cute but it could have been a LOT more scary,Starsky and Hutch(huh...the new one),Fight Club, the One,X-men.
