How much do you REALLY spend? Sun Apr 11, 2004 5:08:49 PM#7794Perm Link
I spend $4 when I go to the theatres...and I don't go to the shitty dollar theatres, I go to the regular Cinemark. People there are bitches...mostly the customers that pay to hang out there...what losers, right?
It's about seven to eight dollars at the theatre I go to. Then I spend about six dollars on refreshments.
OoPart: an artifact that "seems" to be out of context with the surrounding evidence.
Ex.: A fossilized footprint of a human child containing a fossil of a crushed trilobite. Pronounced O-Part.
I spend around $14 to get into the theatre and about $10 on refreshments. I guess I win... or lose depending on how you look at it.
BTW the theatre I go to is the best in town. There is actually a $2 threatre that I don't go to.
I spend about 4 dollars on a movie and I don't get snacks. If I have enough extra, I'll buy a coke, but otherwise I just watch the movie and don't eat.
Then again, sometimes my family and I smuggle snacks in.
God bless:
Jeffrey Dahmer, David Berkovitz, Albert DeSavo,
Ted Bundy, Albert Fish, John Wayne Gacy,
Edward Gein, Charles Manson, and Harvey Carignan.
What I'm wondering is why anyone still pays. Or if you do pay, at least go see an early flick so you can take in another two or three movies before you leave.
Just because somebody didn't mention it when they typed about how much they spent at the movies doesn't mean that they don't. All they said was how much they spend to get in and how much for snacks...they never mentioned how many movies they saw while there. So how do you know people in here don't already do that?
When I saw "The Return of the King" in theatres I remember yelling "Good God! Smeagle must have like a +9 on grapple checks!" during the opening wrestling sequence. It was awesome because all the nerds laughed which was damn near the whole theatre.
You'll have to be more specific. Did they guffaw or did they laugh? You can easily tell the difference between nerds and geeks by the type of chortle they produce. I just want to make sure you're right.
Well, I didn't...I didn't even think about that (being the moron that I truly am)...also, that really had nothing to do with the topic (i guess that can help back up the reason why I never said anything, shut up sam!...eh, piss off yourself!)
I've snuck into more than one movie sometimes. But really, how many times do you go see a movie... and another GOOD one is playing just after (or around the time) the one you're watching ends... Actually, what are the chances that there are two good movies period?
2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!
When Secret Window was out so was Eternal Sunshine, both great movies I thought...and I saw them both one day for the price of one. And like Pancakes mentioned about the times, yeah I checked the times before I went so as Secret Window ended, Eternal Sunshine began. That was a great day.
Secret Window was a little Fight Club worship-ish. I still liked the plot with the story and the ending though. It was very nice. And Eternal Sunshine was a great movie as well.
