Final Fantasy XI w/ HDD Tue Feb 10, 2004 8:39:06 PM#5483Perm Link
I was wondering if buying the HDD with the game is the right choice because i been reading some fourms about it and that there saying that it would be a bad choice and should go ahead and buy the PC version of it. And the HDD costs a $100 and its a waste. So the main thing is which would be the best thing to buy.
Get the PC version, it will cost you $50 for the game and $13 per month. If you get the PS2 version, with the game and all the extra stuff you need, you'll be paying around $200 and $13 per month.
Also, if you MUST use a PS2 controller, buy the USB adapter for the controller. Voila! Just like PS2 but cheaper AND better graphics.
I'm really angry at the fact that they called FFXI... well FFXI. Cuz that game breaks away from the traditional FF series. I mean why couldnt they just call it FF Online or something. They didnt make FF Tactics part of the series, which was a good idea. FFXI doesnt even have much of a story and its not necessary to follow it. Yea so thats how i feel about the game, i really have nothing against it, i mean it seems like a good idea (although i would never buy it cuz of how expensive it is to play it).
