Politicians and Payment

I don't understand why there isn't a law that says that ANY politician that accepts contributions is performing an illegal act.

I feel that the corruption would go way down if each polition was paid a salary from the state/federal government and anything more would be illegal unless it was worked for.

This contribution shit has to stop. Also, JUDGES SHOULDN'T BE ELECTED TO LIFE TERMS.

When you say contributions, do you mean like the money lobbyists pay?

Anything. It doesn't matter the source. Once they are paid a salary, that's all.
