overclocking?

hi.. can i overclock my intel pantium 2.4ghz. system .. what should i need to do.. kindly refer some guid-to-overclocking.

And here I was thinking that overclocking was passe. OC options are typically found in the BIOS.

If so, you are screwed. Intel's motherboards are locked when it comes to overclocking. Their extreme chipsets allow for some options, but it is lacking. Intel is more concerned with stability.

I'm not a fan of overclocking. I've heard some bad stories of those who have done permanent damage to their systems by overclocking improperly.

Which is a lesson for us all: Never lick a processor, and especially not an overclocked one! These components can get VERY hot and WILL burn your tongue.

(in all seriousness I once burned my finger on a video card heatsink)
