You dont have to restart the entire game. Just kill all those jedi's that he absorbs before he absorbs them. At the start of the game instead of fighting malak just go around killing the already semi-dead jedi or watever using force powers like "kill or throw lightsaber". Destroy all the jedi's and then fight malak. You should have no problem winning then.
