Double-you tee eff is with "emo"?

I can understand most labels.

When you're punk, you're supposed to have some sort of rebellious teenage nature along with political understanding.

When you're goth, you're supposed to have some sort of philosophical insight granted only to goths.

When you're a juggalo, you're supposed to have some sort of homicidal tendencies. Juggalo's a pretty useless, but meh, at least they're understandable.

What do you get when you're emo?

You're a pathetic, whiney loser who cuts yourself to sleep and just live to want to die.

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT THAT?

Homicidal tendencies at least is kind of cool. I mean, you get to try to kill people. Being philosophical and overanalyzing bullshit is at least interesting. Being political at least keeps you aware of your surroundings. (This is all based on the "supposed to be," not the "actually is," by the way.)

I just don't get it. What possible redeaming value does being emo have? At all?

Emo used to be associated with awesomeness. Now it's associated with suck.

I guess that's the fate of every rising trend though.

They should do a mtv "true life: I'm a juggalo" so we can all see how sad they are. Like when they had "true life: I'm a pro gamer" and "true life: I'm a furry".
