Yes it sound cool but if you enter a secured environment like a company that have disabled their USB ports then obviously it will not work, also you may need some rights in order to use this app in a foreign PC, If you go to public places allot like a library then its definitely worth it.

Would this work on Creative Lab's ZEN-Touch mp3 player (40GB HDD)? Besides, isn't U3 technology free with every 4gb flash drive?

Will it work on any USB Flash drive? As you have mentioned that the Flash drive will be converted into a portable PC, how do I boot from the USB drive?

Not every drive, but I would suggest making sure any new drive you buy is U3 compatible.
I'm pretty sure I've seen Freeware offered that will work with an iPod, and I'm not going to download something based on a spamy post like the OP.
