I'm on a VHS movie watching marathon. Our video store just had a huge buy 2 get 2 free sale and I scooped up a bunch. They're a bunch of oldies, but I didn't see them. Right now, I'm watching Sunset Strip. Kinda reminds me of Almost Famous (an awesome movie). What are some of your old movie favs?
I still have a big soft spot for VHS. I also have a few movies that are only available on VHS. Kiss of the Spider Woman, for instance. That movie was amazing on so many levels and a HUGE career risk for William Hurt and Raul Julia. I can't believe it's never made it to DVD but for some reason it hasn't, at least not that I've seen.
I too have some VHS movies that I keep. But when I wanted to update to DVD, I wrote it in a list, and every once in a while I check if they are already available. That's how I found my favorite movie "All that Jazz". They finally released it in 2003. And this month they released a new "music Edition" version. Unfortunately I don't have a VHS player anymore.
I have a ton of movies on VHS. I to will look every once in awhile and if I find a great deal I will pick it up in DVD. I still watch alot of my movies on VHS but I am afraid that they are getting old and will break so I have been trying to find them more in DVD. It just seems that some are slow to get to DVD.
