Rollercoasters

So who on here loves to ride rollercoasters? I love them. The bigger and faster the better. I am headed to Cedar Point in about a month and cannot wait. They have some of the best rollercoasters.

Rollercoasters = good.

I hate rollercoasters. I have this fear of dieing.

That's why my brother won't get on Rollercoasters.

I love rollercoasters. The ones at Univerasal in florida are a hoot.

I love and hate them, depending on the mood I'm in. Sometimes I'm really into them but sometimes I have a crippling fear of them...it really depends on how much I think about it breaking and killing me. I'm more afraid of airplanes than rollercoasters, though.

It's really hot here, so I like water rides better.

I actually like the water rides myself also. We have quite a few parks we try to hit throughout the summer.

Water parks are cess pools of all sorts of revolting bacteria. Especially since they attract so many children

That's why I only go during weekdays. Less children.

I like them okay, but won't say I LOVE them. It kind of depends on the rollercoaster. I've been on a few that were just too intense for me. I guess I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to really steep drops. :shudder:

Did anyone happen to hear about the girl that got her legs cut off on the Superman one in Kentucky yesterday? I haven't seen the whole story yet on how it happened.

I love the thought of rollercoasters, but I hate actually being on most of them. It's the loops. I love hills but hate loops. A good wooden coaster is nice.

I adore rollercoasters. I loved the old one at the arcade in Santa Cruz, Ca. Great fun, when I was very small.

According to the article, the cable holding the ride snapped, swung around and cut the girls feet off. A lot of news entries keep saying legs, but if it's at the ankle it's the feet...
I hate drop rides (well, I like Tower of Terror for the atmosphere. The drop I could do without), but then I'm deathly afraid of elevators and they're quite similar. I just know ones going to break when I'm in it one of these days...

Heh, I'm with you technoflutemom, I rarely ever go on coasters with loops. Don't want to get stuck at the top

I can go on drop rides for some reason... just not rollercoasters.

I love them. I love the thrill and the impending death that I survive. It's great.

I just love the overall thrill of them and the anticipation of the next hill or whatever it might be.

i went to six flags wed. and i went on king da ka, and they were having minor technical difficulties, or something like that, but it was soo awesome

Ok, I draw the line at "technical difficulties". I will not rinde one that has those....I like the thrill and the chance of death....I don't want to up the odds in favour of death!

Ohjeez. I'm never going on a water ride again.

I love roller coasters though.

Not a big fan of carnival rides. Especially since the story this week about the poor teenager at Six Flags whose feet were accidentally amputated when a cable broke and started whipping around on the ride.

Stuff happens. People get hurt.

That's the nature of life.

Especially since that's the first time that's ever happened.

I know someone who slipped out of a ferris wheel bucket and dislocated her shoulder.

But that kind of thing happens a lot on ferris wheels, I hear.

Ferris wheels are pretty dangerous...
