Mass Effect 2

For those of you who never played the first one dont worry about it this is one of those games you dont have to play the first one to get into the second one. however, you can import your old character and what choices you made from the first game to change the story line will effect the whole world in the second one. I strongly believe if you have 50 bucks to spend and your in the market for a game go get it. also for the pc version there is downloadable character and new missions i dont know about for the xbox version... as x-play use to say alot i give this game a 5 out of 5

It's a good game, but vastly different that ME1. The combat is dumbed down (think Gears of War). The casting is different and lamer. The environments are smaller. Though, the missions are easier to follow (like it is more linear). They took out the Maco and added horrible planet scanning for minerals.

It is just different, not better or worse.

yeah i didnt really care for the scaning planets and it is alot more geared toward combat then the first one

This game ruined playing other games for me. I thought it was that good. Compared to the first one, I thought everything in this one was much more focused. The gameplay itself was significantly better, though everything else was on par with the 1st one. Perhaps a little better.

Yes, planet scanning was incredibly lame. They really shouldn't bring that into the next one. I don't know how anyone could have thought that putting that in was a good idea.

I know this thread has dust and cobwebs on it,but..............anyone looking forward to ME3? I have to admit I am...I got sucked into ME1 & ME2 and it appears even Aron did....renegade Aron?! It's a lot of fun (and yes a terrible waste of time, but it beats TV hands down)

I am, yes... I've got 3 plot lines ready to go. I've got a good Shep, a "real" Shep, and a BADASS Shep.

Not surprised Aron! You might have more energy than Mordin does. I have the "good' and "real" Shepard's set, but I've yet to do the full renegade run yet...I know it's a game we play for fun, but it kinda of goes against my nature to do the full "badass" run?! If I do I'm going to make him badass ugly in the "looks" department.
