Question mark My CD/DVD does not fit properly in the tray...Lite-On eNAU108-111 External Ultra Slim Portable DVD Writer Old Fri Dec 24, 2010 4:19:18 PM #144911 Perm Link
I hope this is the right forum to get the help I need...

I just purchased the new Lite-On eNAU108-111 External Ultra Slim Portable DVD Writer. It was easy set up and I was ready to insert the CD/DVD but My cd is unable to play because the adapter looking thing in the middle prevents the cd from fitting on the tray as it should. Am I doing something wrong or putting the cd/dvd in wrong? I have read reviews of this new Lite-On eNAU108-111 External Ultra Slim Portable DVD Writer and they all say theirs works fine and/or that it worked immediately out of the box but no one has the same problem i am having with it. Am I doing it wrong? Why won't the CD/DVD fit in the tray properly and how do I fix this problem?

I have a photo of it at this link - http://www.anzwers.org/free/jypsie/MISCELLANIOUS/DVDwriter.html

Welcome to the forum. Have you ever used a laptop type of optical drive? This is the same. You need to force the disk over that black part.

There is no mechanism that goes up to spin the disk like in a desktop optical drive. This allows the drive to remain thin and light. Just push the entire disk on that black part and you'll be good to go. Once you're done, just pick it off grabbing an edge or all at once.

The new OS Xtreme theme is out in FORCE. Try it now and be amazed. It is the best style we've got.
