Women who have their first child by caesarean section are less likely to become pregnant again than those who give birth naturally, and also take longer to conceive, a new study suggests. The 17-year study, which followed over 25,000 women, found that women who had delivered their firstborn by caesarean were 9% less likely to conceive again compared with those who had a spontaneous natural delivery.
