Can't wait for the album to drop on the 20th. Was never really too into them, but I can't stop listening to these new tracks.

Ah, you misunderstood. I know that nu-metal is still going strong, what I meant was that I had a nu-metal phase, and that phase is done.

Well, it's been done for a good three years.

I listened to 10,000 Fists, by Disturbed. Compared to their last album, it sounds better. Compared to the first, it sounds a little tame, but it still has some good songs. It kinda feels like nothing really new, but it's still good. If you like Disturbed, and don't mind more of the same, check it out. Most of the songs are medium paced, with plenty of vocal and guitar action, though the songs sound similar to each other on the first listen. The third listen, things are sounding better.

Melody: 9/10
Heaviness: 6/10 for Disturbed
Pace: Medium speed songs overall
Lyrics: I'll have to pay attention next time...

Overall:
10,000 Fists: 7/10 for Disturbed, a step up from the last album
Believe: 5/10, though I did like a few songs.
Sickness: 8/10 Very good.

Am I a big Disturbed fan? No, but I do like their unique sound enough to pay attention.

If by unique sound you mean drop d guitars, bass-snare-bass-snare drums and a "vocalist//lyricist" who sounds like a deprived monkey, I can understand why you would follow their career.

Deprived monkey? Maybe. But I don't mind hearing nonsense every now and then. As long as it's fast, and is an "action-packed" song. Besides, there's a lot worse out there compared to Disturbed, so I'd have to say they have talent, and some of the lyrics show intelligence and thought, even if they make monkey noises every now and then.

Did I say intelligent lyrics? Seriously though, who really listens to Disturbed for the lyrics? I just like their sound, aggressive, somewhat heavy, lots of "action". How many metal heads buy an album for the lyrics anyway?

As far as this CD goes; wouldn't spend money on it.

I wouldn't spend money on it, myself. Of course, I barely ever spend money on any type of music.

Truthfully, I like Disturbed. Not to the extent that I would go buy their merchandise and go to my friends saying, "Omg LoL i got this new shurt at Hawt Tawpic LoL", but I can tolerate their music every so often when I'm in the type of mood.
