Kingdom Hearts: Memories of Nobody

I'm running...running from something...I don't know what it is, the dream always changes before I figure it out. now I'm falling, falling from the sky and I can't help but think "no, not kirai" and the funny thing is, I don't know anyone named Kirai. did my mind just make up a name? is this really a dream? or is it...are these memories? suddenly I'm in a room full of people with black robes, all of them scare me, all except one. the man standing next to me, smiling with red spiked hair. the scene changes agian, we are up on the top of a clock tower, I hate hights and yet, every time I have this dream I feel no fear. just joy from sharing seasalt popsicles with the man from the room before. why, why am I thinking these things. I am not imaginative enough to come up with these dreams myself. here it comes, the worst part. I brace myself, everynight it ends the same. I'm a girl, but I'm not a girl, everyone sees me differently. the boy who I was in the last dream is looking at me, holding me. my lips are moving but I can never hear what I am saying. the only words I ever hear her (myself) say is "Sora" and "Roxas" I am full of grief, but at the same time happiness. then a terrible pain, as my body slowly disappears.

Vex Jumps out of his bed screaming. "Why? why do I have these...these nightmares?" he asks, hoping someone somewhere would hear. but his room was sound proof. he stayed up the rest of the night, hoping he wouldn't have to deal with the dreams again.

The master of Memories, a vary special child who holds the memories of those who have lost their own. he didn't choose this, it was thrust upon him with no explanation.

a young boy who tries to do the right thing, but his heart is clouded by darkness, especially his hatred towards Vex, who he believes choose the power of the memories over his friends.

Vex walked out of his room and rubbed his eyes. "time for morning practice" he said to himself yawning.
"Hey there sleepy head? bad dream last night?" a voice asked from behind him, he turned to see Clara's smiling face.
"yeah, same dream, or dreams." he said.
"well don't worry, they won't always be bad dreams." Clara said still smiling.
"yeah...I guess" Vex said with a pretend grin. the fact is he had these dreams every night since 10 years ago. he hasn't had a good nights sleep ever since.

"well, well look who decided to sleep last night, but i can tell you didn't get enough." another voice said. it was Dante, vex's best friend. "so Vex, ready to train? we won't be getting another mission for a couple of weeks, with the boss on leave to pursue some growing threat." Dante said
"Growing threat?" Vex asked.
"yeah, something is destroying planets, didn't you see last night, a whole section of the galaxy just disappeared." Clara said.
"WHAT! that's...it's like in...my dream." Vex said. "In my dream there is this guy, he wheres a brown robe. he tells me...well not me, the kid that is in the begining of my dream. anyway he says something about worlds being destroyed." Vex said
"really? that's awesome, maybe you can see the future in your dreams." Dante said
"no, I don't think it's the future, I just get a feeling."

"then perhaps they are memories." said someone in the shadows. when he stepped out they where all three surprised to see master Riku. "Vex, I have been watching you for a long time. when I heard you talking about your dreams, at first i wasn't sure, but when you said....when you said her name I was positive. you hold great power, you keep the memories of those who lose them. you are a vessel. I was going to choose my true apprentice by having you battle, but now the choice, like so many others, has been made for me." he said.
"but sir, shouldn't I at least have a chance?" Dante asked
"ha, you think you can go against the master of memories? I was once like you, I had a friend who I could undoubtedly beat in all battles, but then, on the day our world was destroyed he gained something I could never have. the power of the keyblade. from then on no matter what I did I was never good enough to beat him. so I stopped trying to beat him, and I joined him, it was the first choice I made on my own terms."Riku said "you and Clara will be sent to out on missions like always, but only Vex will be able to continue his training to a next level."
Dante went completely red, he held his breath, trying not to say what he so badly wanted to say. that Master Riku was wrong, that Vex was no match for him, even with his crazy dreams, that vex would fail and riku would come crawling back to him. He turned and walked towards his room. "whatever, I'll train myself." he said.
"wait...Dante?" Clara said then turned to Vex "don't worry about him, he's just upset."she said then ran after Dante.
"he has great evil in his heart" Riku said then turned and walked towards his office "come with me Vex. I will accompany you on your first mission ONLY, the rest you will have to do yourself, in between the most intense training you will ever experience."

(not meaning to hate, riku was the original key blade weilder)

( actually it was neither of them, the original(s) were Terra, Ventus, and Aqua. But Vens heart is one with Soras… so meh technical stuff xD)

(actually Terra, Ventus, and aqua where keyblade weilders, but they where not the original, keyblades had been used for thousands of years before them, in fact there was a war called the keyblade war. when Ventus became one with his darkness he created and became the keyblade, which is actualy supossed to be xblade, but because it is pronounced keyblade, people get confused all the time. it is the only keyblade with a mind of it's own, ventus. it chooses it's wielder, and it chose sora. now Roxas, he is soras nobody and that is a whole other story.)

( I forget the details to much... me and my friend got into an arguement over something like this… he only one because I constantly cinfuse my kh history with my final fantasy history… that and I'm blonde xD)

"Vex, you are a vary special child. a container of memories. and the only hope the worlds have of being saved." Riku said.
"me? I can't be the only hope, I mean, couldn't you..."Vex began, but was interrupted by Riku.
"I missed out on that chance a long time ago, when I, like Dante is doing now, Allowed the darkness to consume me.everyones heart has darkness, but mine has no light." he said looking down, almost ashamed of himself.
"I don't believe that master, if you had no light you wouldn't be worried about the worlds being destroyed."Vex said. Riku turned to him and smiled.
"I guess that is a side effect of you having all his memories, you talk just like him." he said "Sora never gave up on me either, and I guess that is the reason I was able to move past my dark heart and fulfill my life as the third destiny child. that's what they called us, sora, me and...."he said stopping before the third name. but Vex knew somehow who he was talking about
"Kirai?"he asked, only sure of the name, and not sure who she really was. Riku turned and looked at him he had anger in his eyes as he looked at vex, but at the same time, sorrow.
"yes, Kirai, rule number one if I am to teach you how to fulfill your destiny is that you must never mention her name in my presence. It changes me. I was able to control it that time, but there is no telling what I will do the next time."he said with a harsh tongue he walked up and down his office for a minute thinking how to start.
"The Heartless are returning, the nobodies have been waiting in the shadows, and since you where born a new monster popped up, they are called Mems that is short for memories, because they are simply memories, that have taken form, and been distorted by darkness. The strongest of these monsters are made of the most importent memories in existence, soras. they..."He said
"wait, if they are made of memories, and the most powerful is soras does that make me a..."Vex interupted
"No, you are not one of them, you are special, those things took the memories and where destroyed by them, you can hold them in, keep them together until you collect them all, all of soras memories, push them out of your mind and you create a new Sora. while you fight these mems, you will also need to destroy the nobodies, who wish to take all memories, making you a huge target for them, and the heartless, because we need kingdom hearts to truly bring him back."Riku said "I have gone over this plan for over 60 years, waiting, Hoping that one day I would see my friend again, and now here is the means I need to do so."
"Sir, what is kingdom hearts?"Vex asked.
"It is the heart of hearts, able to give it's controller great power, able to open door, it can even take the memories of a single person and give them form. that is what we are after, that is our goal, we must complete kingdom hearts and use it's power to bring Sora back, he is the only one with the power to save the world. but we need all his memories first."Riku said.
"but how do we know where to look?" Vex asked.
"that is the easy part, we go to every world sora ever visited when we get there we must destroy the memory that is doing the most damage, if you destroy it the memory will go into you and you will hold onto it. the memories might even be powerful enough to bring back worlds that have been destroyed, at least long enough for us to get Soras memory from that world. we would prefer to have all the memories, to ensure it is sora at his most powerful point. but if we have all the necessarily memories we can still win."

Dante 1
"Master Riku is wrong, I am the strongest, I should be his apprentice."Dante said packing things for a journey.
"yes, he is wrong, that boy has never been right in my opinion." said a shrill womans voice. green flames erupted beside Dante and Maleficent came out of them. "you wish to be powerful, to fulfill the destiny that your master has taken from you and given to Vex. I can help you. I can give you power." she said
"power? I like that. but what about Clara?"he said
"forget about that girl. she only cares about Vex, she would have stood up for you if she cared anything about you. come with me." she said holding out her hand.
"OK." Dante said taking her hand, then the door opened and Clara walked in
"Dante I was worried about...DANTE!" she screamed as she pulled out her sword ready to attack maleficent but both her and Dante had vanished to fast for her to attack.

Vex summoned the keyblade and waited for master Riku.when he finally got to the gate he was in a dark suit that almost looked like skin, with red patches on the shoulders and legs. "wow, that looks cool." Vex said, he couldn't imagine his old master being so cool as a child. "come on, our first stop is my home, Destiny Island, possibly the most importent memory sora and I share is there." Riku said.

"what is it?"Vex asked.
"the day we met....the day we met her."Riku said, Vex knew who he was talking about, but had already been warned not to mention her around the master. the gate opens and a giant black portal appears. "step through" Riku said walking through it. Vex did as he was told, then he blacked out.

when Vex awoke he was laying on a beach. the water was crawling up his legs, then sank back into the sea. he lifted his head and looked around. this was the place, he would see himself, well sora falling from the sky, then he would fall through the ocean, and suddenly he would be falling through the sky. this was the most dream-like of all the memories he had. in fact it was the first one he had ever had. Vex looked around. "Master Riku? Master Riku where are you!" he yelled. then a he heard running coming from behind him. he turned to see two little boys running. "haha, can't catch me sora." the first boy said, he had gray hair and a yellow shirt on. "hey, kid, did you just call that boy sora?" Vex said, but the boy didn't hear him, infact the boy ran right through him. "is this...a memory? but it's different, I am me. when I see memories I am usually the person it belongs to." vex thought
"it is because you are within a memory crack. a place where a memory was born that was so powerful, when the owner died it was returned to its origin."Master Riku said walking from the same direction the kids had come from. "sense this is my memory as well, I am able to enter it, as long as you are near me." Riku said
"so what do we do?" Vex said.
"we watch, the mems will try to change things, that is how they weaken the memory, then when it is weak they consume it. we must not let it happen. without this memory Sora will have no drive, nothing he is searching for. that is why he is so strong everything he does is for the people he loves. and she is the most important." suddenly they where surounded by strange creatures of different shapes and colors. "these are mems?" Vex asked.
"yes." Riku said as one of the mems tripped the young Riku. "that is a change, we need to stop them before it becomes worse." Master Riku said. they both pulled out their keyblades and attacked the mems.

(Maybe tomarow, The story would have to change just a bit to allow more characters for you guys, so you are not minor characters.)

Vex finally finished off the last mem. "Huff, Huff, Huff. wow, well it always be like this?" he asked
"No, it won't always be that easy." Riku said sitting down. "watch" he said. as they had battled the two boys had been playing through the beach. fighting, racing, even climbing a strange tree with star shaped fruit. as the sun went down they sat together and talked.
"Hey sora, do you ever wonder if there is more?" the young riku said
"What do you mean?"young sora asked confused.
"Like, more then just Destiny island, more then our parents, more then our world?" he asked looking up at the sky.
"well... there are the stars. but their are so far away." sora said.
"yeah...wait, not that one." Riku said pointing to a shooting star that seemed to be coming closer and closer.
"wow, it looks so clo....wait, that isn't a star." Sora said. "It's a....it's a girl." and sure enough a girl came falling from the sky and splashed into the ocean. Riku and sora both jumped into the water and grabbed her, they pulled her ashore and started trying to get her to wake up. "Hey, HEY don't drown." sora said to her,
"we where to young to know how to revive someone from drowning. what happens next is pure luck." Master Riku said to vex. the girl spit up a bunch of water and looked around. "Huh, where am I." she said.
"who are you?" Sora asked. "where did you come from?"
"I...My name is Kairi, I... I don't know what you mean, where I came from?" she said.
"well Kairi, you must have come from one of the stars." Riku said "wow, you know what this mean? sora, if she came from another world that means we can leave." Riku said
"Leave? like an adventure?" Sora said. as he said it the necklace around Kairi's neck started glowing bright.
"huh? it's glowing...but that means... did you say your name is sora?" she said
"yeah." sora said.
"then your the one who will keep me safe." she said silently.
"what?" sora asked.
"Nothing, Hey, so where is this place?" she said changing the subject.
"this is destiny island. come on lets show her around" Riku said running towards the boat. but vex couldn't follow them. something huge was coming. a huge shadow appeared on the gorund, and out of it came three distorted children, they all looked like monstreous versions of Riku Kairi and sora.
"wha-what the heck are..."Vex started.
"These are the mems we need to destory to save this memory, they have most of the memory, so they have taken the form of the most promanent aspect of it. in this case the memory is about the meeting of the three children of destiny, so they became us." Master Riku said getting in a fighting stance "they look like us, but they are mearly monsters in a the form of me sora and...her."
