Metal Gear Solid series

which one do you think is the best or is just a waste of time, remeber all the metal gear solids that came including the less known Metal Gear Solid virtual missions, but which one is your favorite I myself liked the second but the 3rd is supposed to be kick ass!

I voted one and two. Their brilliance is more or less evenly matched, though I think one had a more compelling narrative, two kicked ass in terms of realism and general fun. Great games.

You should have listed Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, those were pretty good.

They would have lost to Metal Gear Solid and Sons of Liberty, anyway.

yeah they would of, even if they were put together metal gear solid 1 and 2 would kick the metal gear 1 adn 2 asses

Ah, Metal Gear Solid. I loved that game. If Substance was up there, I would've voted for that, but since it isn't I have to say Sons Of Liberty. And to think, You could go out, right now, and buy that game for 8 bucks.

MGS had the best story, music and overall atmosphere. 2 did have better gameplay, but I just didn't like the story at all. And I didn't like Raiden or Rose or Emma at all. And having Otacon instead of Mei Ling sucked. And judging from how complicatedly twisted and sometimes absurd MGS2's plot was, I'm guessing that MGS 3 will be even worse. I even heard of a "Raiden comes back via time travel" plot. Gawd i really hope not. Still, even if the story is good in MGS3, it still won't be as good as the story in MGS. That's why I'm so bummed that The Twin Snakes is only coming out for GC. As much as I love MGS, I refuse to buy a new console just for one game. Though it is very tempting.
