Final Verdict
The D-Link DCS-2530L retails for about $140 (Amazon at the time of this review. While it is a newer model than the 2630L, it lacks the two way audio that many people wanted. Still, there are a few benefits over the older model. The camera is significantly smaller, weighs less, and draws less power. If you don't need two way audio and still need wide angle coverage, this is a good camera to consider.
This camera's advanced interface shows that D-Link is trying to move towards more standards based interfaces since it mostly works on Firefox in Linux. This is a far cry from previous models that just refused to work. Now, if D-Link gets the mydlink web portal to work with Firefox and Linux, that would be even better.
ASE Publishing would like to thank D-Link for making this review possible.
