From Thread: My entire life story ... what you get if you let me open my mouth/keyboard. Well, my PC history since I built my first system anyhow... By Kryojenix Old Sat Nov 4, 2006 10:50:02 AM
Which bit should I take out of the link? Everything including and after &asesessid? That means ASE session ID, right?

We also had a 486. 2 computers before my Duron system. ***It had no CPU cooling fan - whoa!*** It's still in the storage shed somewhere. But the Duron was the first system I personally bought and built when I moved out of home. I think I'm a little older than you guys - just by a bit, mind you, lets not get into numbers!! Before the 486, our first computer was a second hand PC XT @ 4MHz // 640kB RAM // 16MB Hard Drive // 5.25" double-sided/double-density floppy drive (not high density) // Hercules monochrome graphics adapter which we upgraded to VGA (I'm not sure if this was actually a hardware upgrade) - a great system for playing Tetris on (nice and slow) ... also Pacman, Elevator, but later also Guerilla War, Double Dragon 3, Golden Axe, Xenon II Megablast... a venerable antique, sadly our house was full, so Mum left it out on junk collection day, and some foragers snitched it before the junkmen came (and rightly so, too).

All I can say is that you shouldn't waste your time trying to grind all the way to Lv.99. The game's easily beat with most characters around Lv.72. Christ, you don't even need to use your time on the Chocobo Hot-n-Cold minigame to get the best weapons(though you certainly could if you enjoy it). Vivi + Flare = win for the latter half of the game.

From Thread: Microsoft May Pull Out Of China Old Thu Nov 2, 2006 10:00:40 AM
I'd rather they pulled out of china rather than resort to selling windows for $5 in the same vien that MPAA is doing there. Ya know, we need more piracy here so that DVD prices will drop.

From Thread: Windows CE 6 Released With FULL Kernel Source Old Thu Nov 2, 2006 3:48:25 AM
Yes, it looks like Microsoft is seeing the end of Windows CE coming and hopes this move will keep it alive for a wee bit longer, possibly improve it and make them look good.
The license itself is rather unimpressive - (I'm not sure if I read the actual CE one) it does not allow selling the software (making it non-free) and is strong copyleft, meaning that there is no way you can bend any terms.

I'm quite skeptical about the whole "shared source" business; it looks like some marketing gag by Microsoft. MS made sure with its licenses that the code could never be used by Wine, ReactOS or Mono, and, AFAICT, they never shared any source that hadn't been replaces already (WinCE -> Linux/..., Palm ; CLI/C# -> Mono ; Jscript -> Mozilla etc etc ; IronPython -> python, pypy, especially boo [python doesn't fit into .net Wink])

Everything is dependant on your draw in yugioh.

So Yu-Gi-Oh is based more on luck than on skill? Like a lot of gambling games?

In truth, the same could be said of all card-based games. Skills can overcome only so much poor hands.

Thats why deck making is key, to make a efficient deck so that even in bad conditions you have a good chance and can still win

One of the reasons I like AMD is their competitive prices over Intel and the Fact that their processors have outperformed Intel on many occasions, so their slow move to the 65-nanomete size may just be a card up their sleeves like their acquisition of ATI and talks with Apple … we will see soon enough

of course YouTube would survive. It would just lose a lot of popularity.

It is impossible to have the copyright of something in the PD, Tornado. "Public Domain" basically means that everyone has equal copyright.

From Thread: Microsoft giving away more software Old Tue Oct 31, 2006 5:17:16 AM
After Vista falls flat on its face, Microsoft will continue to offer more free programs and services to entice people to continue to use Windows. If that doesn't work they'll probably begin more incentives (coupons, etc.) to get people to upgrade. If they still don't get the result that they want, I think they will eventually offer the operating system cheap or free. I think it will take a while though. Maybe not with Vista, but perhaps with Microsoft's next piece of crap.
