I've started to lose interest in SG-1. It was a good run though.

I'd like to see more development in Atlantis for sure.

From Thread: The Big White Old Thu Aug 24, 2006 1:31:56 PM
This movie starred Robin Williams, one of my all time favorite comedians.

I was ver skeptical about this movie and I knew literally nothing about it.

It's about a man(Paul - Robin Williams) who's brother(Raymond - Woody Harrelson) disappears for 5 years with no trace. He tries to claim the Life Insurance on his brother, but according to the Insurance company, the statute of limitations for claiming a death on a missing person without producing a body in the State of Alaska is 7 years. Well, this is no good for Paul who is going bankrupt with his Travel business and has a Wife (Margaret - Holly Hunter) on the brink of instanity. So as life would have it, he finds a way to produce a body and so the fun begins!
I found it very entertaining with a few laughs here and there. I also thought Holly Hunter was tremendous job in this one...GREAT ACTING on her part!

Worth the rental in my opinion.

That's nothing. I read once where the Whitehouse spent over 4000 dollars per toilet installed. Standard toilets. Nothing special.

From Thread: How fast is your series of tubes!? Old Thu Aug 24, 2006 4:24:04 AM
I don't think they rolled out faster speeds. I was told I had a 6mbits down max speed.

Try this test
http://www.pcpitstop.com/internet/default.asp

I got Download speed: 8377 kilobits per second

And I have a package deal where it is cheaper for me to have Cable than DSL. DSL here is 44.95 a month. I can't get ATT/Yahoo DSL anymore which is what I had before the Comcast.

From Thread: RCX 1.5 By free-zombie Old Thu Aug 24, 2006 2:21:15 AM
It's a simple computer. You can run programs on it and write programs for it. LEGO ships it with a pointy-and-clicky peace of... well, baby programming software which DOES give it less power than an abacus, but with legOS you can write C programs for it - and have 32K of memory. all you'll ever need. anyway:
the display is of the same type digital watches have, can be used for displaying numbers for debugging etc, networking is possible via infrared - this is the way it communicates with a PC (to get the programs) or other RCX.
There are 3 inputs for sensors. to get information about the outside world and 3 motor outputs to run motors and lights,

basically, it's a fun "intelligent" brick that you stick into robots and program it. "Programming" can either be a point-and-click "do this" "do that" or proper programming in Java or C - which would allow things like a robot that drives around and saves where obstacles are - and sends the data to a PC which can display a map. or whatever.

edit: what TecniFreak (ah whatever, Tornado anyway Razz ) describes is something different. This thing is autonomous. What he described ain't. it's stationary and has no computing power at all. it's simply an interface between a computer and LEGO.

I have established that depite needing a new keyboard, I would just say the hell with it and get the DS Lite anyways. I wasn't going to get one for I feared the buttons would still be the clicky-clackey crap that was first bestowed upon us with the SP and then the DS, but no! They are good buttons! With travel! That, and I just need a keyboard that has a cord to replace the junker wirelss one I'm using now.

What abundant resources??? It's AIR dude. SPACE..means just that, SPACE, nothingness. Is there energy just floating around..Sounds a little far-fetched to me. Show me some proof that it is "an economic growth engine." That is a FARSE. Fishy, theoretic babbling is what it sounds like to me. I'd be the last person to go to space based on a theory.

I don't CARE about the economics of space. I want to see what it is like to look down at the Earth in microgravity. I will do it in my lifetime.

Another pointless waste of time.

Quote

But a supplementary resolution would at least make Pluto the prototype of a class of icy outer worlds beyond Neptune. "The purpose of this is to give a nod to those people who are great Pluto fans," said Owen Gingerich of Harvard University in Massachusetts, US, who is chairman of the committee.

Boy I hope they do not piss-off all the Pluto "fans"

ATTENTION fans of Pluto..your Planet is not longer a planet..HAHAHAHAHHA!!!! Who the hell really cares?

This seems to be a problem with Firefox. I guess I should go on bugzilla and file it.

Basically, Firefox will jump to the anchor before the images and stuff have loaded and by the time the page is all rendered, the anchor position is different.

I think Bush got replaced by an imposter. Since when is he a Liberal moron who sides with the terrorists? How is it on the same day he's recalling Marines back to Iraq, saying we won't pull out of Iraq while he's in charge, and also giving money to Lebanon/Hezbollah? He's waffling faster than John Kerry or Bill Clinton for goodness sake, I've never seen even a democrat change their position in the same freaking day!

Ok before watching Friday spark one up and you will be amazed how good of an actor ICE CUBE is....LOL

OK so he may not get an OSCAR for best Actor but Friday is not the only movie in witch Ice Cube Played in, actually Friday is what launched his career as an Actor plus remember he is a Hip Hop Artist that can also get in the Acting Game and He has had plenty of movie roles in the Past few years. Will he get an OSCAR probably not but the point is many people in the HIP HOP Industry have become Actors Good or Bad.
Example
JA Rule
EMINEM
DMX
50C
These guys have acted but are not the best actors in the industry. They are just surfing on the fame wave while it lasts.

Got that right. In mose cases, the RIAA says to a starting artist that this is as good as it gets... that's it.

It is interesting to see the book publishing industry. When your work is published, you retain the copyright to your work... in music, the RIAA gets it.
