From Thread: Sound Card Old Thu Aug 12, 2004 6:42:40 PM
Actualy it probably is the drivers. Here's the dillio. This card is an OEM product. However I purchased it from a store that sells OEM stuff, so it came in a brown plastic sleeve with a CD inside. I went to the Creative Labs website for a driver update, and there's like 10 kinds of SB Live! cards. So i figgure it was the SB Live! 5.1 card since it's got 5.1 surround. But all the package that it came in says is whats on the price sticker, "SB LIVE OEM" so i got the plain jane SB Live drivers figguring it would be alright. Truth be told i probably shouldnt have updated because i lost my drivers CD for it. SOB... oh well this gives me an excuse to come to the world of 24-Bit audio. Quite frankly I was planning on upgrading anyway. Funny thing is that Ive seen at least 2 other instances of the sound either cutting in and out or some sound not being present with other peoples systems using this card. So just tell me what is better so I can go buy it and be done with this mess before i go on vacation.

P.S. I can hear my gun shooting, but its silence when others shoot back.

From Thread: Top Ten Albums Old Wed Aug 11, 2004 12:30:30 AM

Said By God Send Death

You are trying to turn this subjective thread into an objective argument. It is futile to continue. As i said, this is what i likes for my top 10, maybe my tastes suck, maybe what I write sucks, maybe what I think is evil is really all puppies and kittens. All I know is that you cant get any more of an evil sound out of any instrument than a tritone. Other than that, I could write an essay on all of this going riff by riff with the theory in each of the songs on any or every album, but that would be boring and pointless. People like these albums, no doubt, I just put them in an order that i feel suits me best. So study and learn, grow and become great.

~GSD~

What I'm trying to show you is that music is not all about theory and that even though the writing on some of these albums may be great, there is no feeling, no emotion, nothing to prove. It's all form -- no substance.

But for the record, I only disputed your Dimmu pick, for the reason above.

I merely added opinions on the other albums because metal has been a big part of my life from a young age. And as for sounding evil, perhaps you should check out those albums I mentioned before. I believe Khanate would surprise you because as you said, you can't sound any more evil out of any instrument with out using a tritone, but Khanate uses silence to create tension and feedback to create uneasiness. You listen to "Things Viral" or it's predecessor and tell me that it's not one of the most evil entities ever put to music. Tore the nut hairs right off me one by one the first time I heard it.

But you're right, I guess it is futile to continue.

GSD is pretty much correct. But if you want something of a movie of sorts, you'd first want to take the pics and such and make a mpg out of them. XP has a built in movie maker package that can do it if you don't have another programs. Then use your buring program of choice and make a VCD.

Summer has been treating me well...I can barely sit down without someone knocking on my door. It's starting to slow down which is good because I now I am awake all night, and go to bed when the sun rises. I'm really trying to break myself out of this habit since there's only about 3-4 weeks of the summer left. -_-'

Yea, I know it suxs ass BIG time that CN is moving so slow...and I've seen the subs of Inuyasha, and I do have to admit, the Japanese voices are alot better. Also if pay attention, Kagome's skin is alot little in the subs, and her hair is actually black/blue, also Inuyasha looks more like that of a hanyou to me, his eyes are bigger and show more of what he's thinking about.

You can also see small differences in the rest of the IY group in the subs compared to the dub.

I've just heard about g-mail today. Since I don't have internet access at home, I haven't heard about it until now. But...they have those cool accents ;_;

I don't have WAM!, unfortunately, or I'd check it out. I tend to like "foreign" shows, or at least like to watch them and little to the accents and stuff :3 The only British show I remember seeing was 24Seven on Noggin. It was decent...way better than Degrassi: The Next Generation.

....*cough* Off topic, I know. I'll look the show up and find out more about it :3 'cause you've made me curious.
