All for only $20!*
I'd say the results are pretty good:
*Of course, considering I now need to buy another PSP so I can replace the fucking motherboard that I broke, its actually going to be closer to $70, but whatever. Totally worth it. I also screwed up one of the screen protectors trying to put it on, but that is why I bought two in the first place.
Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today? Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection. Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!
I'm depressed that I broke the damn thing in July and I still haven't gotten it fixed yet. I wanted to be playing Disgaea 2 by now, and all I can do is stare at the package. I also want to play Garou again...
Funnily enough, the problem with the PSP wasn't the motherboard, it was the screen itself (which is rare, I'm told), so I broke it attempting to fix it for no reason.

Hm A Friend Of Mines Had The Same Issue With His, I Bought it from him with an old runescape account he had wanted.
I Just Sent The damn thing to sony for 70$, But that was when i didn't know too much about hardware.
I actually got this back on Monday, but since it still doesn't work I'm just going to buy another (this time confirmed working) one and swap the parts. But at the very least we think it doesn't work now because it was damaged in shipping (and it was insured), so I might be able to come off from this financially in the clear if FedEx accepts my claim.

Yeah, I know. I personally am looking for another Daxter Pack PSP for the cheap (which is what my original PSP was before I put the blue case on it), because those are guaranteed TA-085 mobos.
That being said, because of how long it took for Sony to lock out CFW with the motherboard (and then they replaced that mobo with one that was CFW-capable for some reason), TA-088v3 mobos are quite the minority, so that is the least of my worries.

And so, nearly a year and a half later, I close the chapter on this money pit. My original Daxter Pack PSP, I salute you!
