Spoiler: 'Cept for the part when they kidnapped the baby. My poor sister (who has a baby girl) almost had a heart attack. I personally was more freaked out when Sloth-look-a-like attempted to rape the young girl.

When I heard 'cannibal' I expect people to be eaten alive. Only one person is seen eaten and she was already dead.

I haven't seen either but I'm fairly certain the remake is both worse and less gory, even if it's mroe technologically advanced

The remake.

In the end, since the remake is practically like the original only with a slicker shine, I don't see the reason for a remake. The original isn't that gory, but it is somewhat intense in terms of survival horror. Prefer the original, since it's the one that came up with all the ideas for the most part, but I did like the remake's scene where one guy explores the town.

I gotta say this movie was not quite what I expected and since I never seen any preivew I didn't know it was that messed up. In the end it was a good gore fest.

I actually really liked the movie!

I thought it had a good survival feel to it, and I liked the conversations and development between characters.

Well That aspect of the movie was alright I guess, but the part that made me angry was at the end and it was inevitable that they were going to die considering they blew everything up!

Yeah, don't give everything away.

They still had weapons, so theoretically, they would be able to whoop up on a few bad dudes before they went down for the count.
