DX10 Video Card Question

I'm still in the process of building the computer I planned. So far, I have the following components:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6420
Abit FP-IN9 SLI
400GB Seagata SATA HDD
Antec Sonata III

The videocards I'm considering are within the $100-200 range:
Radeon X1950Pro
Radeon X1950XT
GeForce 7900GS
GeForce 8600GT

I know the 8600GT is a DX10 video card, but I'm wondering, does anyone know if there will be problems if I attempt to use it on a system running XP?

STAY AWAY FROM ATI. Their Linux drivers suck ass. At least the Nvidia ones work. I'm eyeing a 8600GT or GTS myself. I'm going to purchase it this weekend.

There will be no problems running those cards on XP.
