ITT, I test my soldering skills.

So, my new Genny came. And its fantastic. But because JVC is a bunch of douchebags, when they sold the Wondermega here they removed (ignoring the slick wireless controllers, twin microphone plugs and software-based power button) the S-Video plug. I aim to correct that, but I don't want to do it the way that Neo Geo owners do. So, to start off, I bought these:

First I want to see if I can build a transcoder out of one of the Playstations. If that works, I will do an encoder swap from the PSX to a Genny II that I will purchase soon, then attempt to put S-Video on that. If that works, I'll do the same on the X'Eye.

@ Aron: I told you I have free time. And if I screw up and wreck one of the Playstations or the Genny II, I wouldn't be out that much money. (especially if I can salvage the parts).
You see, the key is in this little thing here:

Playstations have them. Saturns have them. Even shittastic Genesis 3's have them. All of the Gennys prior to the Sega 3 have less powerful (though pin compliant) encoders. They are the difference between needing a few capacitors a a resistor to make S-Video output and needing to build an entire daughterboard to have S-Video, which is what the crazies who own Neo-Geos usually do.
