As 3D creation becomes mainstream, artists, designers and engineers discover the quality, speed and comfort of pen and touch input
VANCOUVER, Wash., March 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Wacom(®), the brand that leading Creative Professionals use worldwide, is ramping up its product development and marketing capabilities in the 3D space. As 3D technology has grown in popularity and the workflow has become more mainstream, 3D artists, designers and engineers have been increasingly turning to Wacom's award-winning Cintiq family of creative pen displays and Intuos Pro tablets. This transition is due to the natural and intuitive pressure-sensitive pen input, ergonomics, production speed as well as the support Wacom users can count on from all major 3D application software providers.
"3D Design has been undergoing a transformation driven by trends in 3D engineering, rapid prototyping and on-demand parts production," said Jeff Mandell, Executive Vice President for Wacom's Branded Business. "That is why we have mobilized our resources to accelerate bringing new 3D products and services to market, addressing both legacy use-cases such as 3D, Multimedia and CAD as well as emerging segments such as 3D Printing." The majority of players in game development, industrial design, animation and fashion design have been using Wacom Cintiqs for years, but the evolution of 3D and increases in affordable and powerful software applications such as ZBrush from Pixologic, Autodesk's Maya and Fusion 360 as well as Modo from The Foundry has helped Wacom open a lot of new doors. "Wacom's creative pen displays are ideally suited for digital 3D sculpting," said Jaime Labelle, Chief Operating Officer at Pixologic. "ZBrush software users can count on the natural and creative control that Wacom's pen input provides and the 3D community as a whole applauds Wacom's expansion into the 3D space."
At GDC this week, how to get the most out of Wacom technology for 3D design will be an important topic at Wacom's booth (#831) at the Moscone Center, March 16 to 18. Wacom will demonstrate how its products, particularly its flagship Cintiq creative pen displays, provide the most efficient way to create 3D objects from sketch to finished product. Demonstrating this 3D workflow at Wacom's booth will be Brian Allan, from Formlabs, a leading manufacturer of 3D printers. Visitors will get to see how Mr. Allan uses a Cintiq 27QHD with various software suites to create 3D models and see the result after it has printed on a Formlabs 2 printer. Visitors to the Wacom booth will also be able to try the Cintiq 22HD and the Cintiq Companion 2, a robust, mobile Windows PC with the touch and pen input capabilities one would expect from the Cintiq brand.
The 3D production environment demands precision, accuracy and speed. Wacom's ubiquitous Cintiq family is currently in service at most leading design studios and innovative design schools around the world. Mandell is proud to say that "wherever computer arts, virtual or augmented reality, special effects, 3D models, animation or plain and simple 2D graphics can be found, odds are that Wacom products were used in the creative workflow. And with our increasing focus on 3D, the market segments and type of customers we service will continue to help expand our creative design leadership."

Coinciding with Baselworld in Switzerland, the latest additions to its Fossil Q line of devices strike the perfect balance of fashion and function.
Today's announcement adds the next generation activity tracker Q Motion complete with sleep tracking, water resistance and smart tap technology; slimmer Android Wear watches (Q Marshal and Q Wander respectively); and a smarter analog watch, which infuses technology into a traditional timepiece unlike any other. These devices will become available to customers between early summer and fall 2016.
"We love the digital influence on our world today! It opens up a more direct dialogue with our customers, allowing us to design products and update technology in a much more impactful way," said Jill Elliott, chief creative officer. "Customers want to be connected to the world around them, and are eager to access information about daily activities, filtered content and their social networks. The expanded Fossil Q line brings creativity, curiosity and connectivity through smarter watches and trackers that enhance their personal style."
Q WANDER AND Q MARSHAL- POWERED BY ANDROID WEAR
With their touchscreen displays, refined steel and classic leather accents, Fossil's newest display smartwatches--Q Wander and Q Marshal--pack the power you need to efficiently accomplish all your daily tasks in a smaller, sleeker package. Thanks to customer feedback, the cases are now 44mm and 46mm, and have a silicone strap option giving Fossil's latest Q devices a versatile edge and making them the perfect addition for your everyday style.
-- Q Wander features a soft curving, multi-finish case with artfully
sculpted wire lugs, making it both beautiful and functional. The
interchangeable genuine leather strap provides the style and comfort
customers have come to expect from a watch.
-- Q Marshal features a rugged case along with design updates like a
striking navy blue plated case paired with vintage-inspired leather
straps.
Like our existing Q Founder smartwatch, both Q Wander and Q Marshal feature always-on displays, so you'll continuously have access to important information like time, calls and alerts. You can also respond to messages from your watch by tapping the screen or by using voice commands. These smartwatches also let you stay on track with your commute info, flights and timely reminders thanks to Google Now(TM) cards. Q Wander and Q Marshal can be personalized with customizable watch face designs, including exclusive Fossil dials, and interchangeable straps.
Both smartwatches are powered by Android Wear--Google's smartwatch platform. This allows you to get the information you want (when you need it) on a watch that expresses your style and fits what you love to do.
And with no exposed pins or connectors, charging both smartwatches on the new slim wireless charger is a breeze.
Q Marshal and Q Wander are compatible with Android(TM) smartphones and iPhones. Both touchscreen display smartwatches will be available later this year and start at $275 (US).
Q MOTION--ACTIVITY + SLEEP TRACKER
Fossil introduced an activity tracker last fall that notifies you of calls and texts, in addition to tracking your activity. This summer, Fossil is adding the latest generation--Q Motion--an affordably priced tracker that takes it to the next level. This device also sends you notifications of calls, texts and activity thanks to haptic vibrations and multi-color LED lights.
In addition to tracking your sleep and activity, Q Motion features smart tap technology--a revolutionary way of interacting with the world around you. With Q Motion, a simple tap plays your favorite music, finds your phone or helps you take that perfect selfie.
No need for recharging Q Motion as its coin cell batteries keep it powered for up to six months. Additionally, it's water resistant for up to 50 meters, and features a sleek new cylinder design and interchangeable straps.
Q Motion will be available this summer starting at $95 (US).
SMART ANALOG WATCHES
Who says watches should only be used for telling time? Fossil's smarter analog watches (coming this fall) alert you to incoming calls as well as notifications from your closest contacts with just the turn of the watch hands. It also tracks everything from steps to calories, sleep, automatic time zone updates, a second time zone (seen in the sub-eye on the analog dial), and connects to an Android smartphone or iPhone device via Bluetooth®. New Services Create Reliable, Convenient User Experience
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Automotive Broadcasting Network (ABN), the premier end to end digital broadcasting network developed for retail automotive dealers, will introduce two new offerings - an unprecedented 99.9 percent uptime guarantee and a recently patented mobile app for its digital networks. These two offerings from ABN are the latest in a suite of comprehensive digital services that drive increased sales, customer retention and brand loyalty for OEMs and dealers.
Uptime Guarantee
Beginning with installations in April 2016, ABN will guarantee its screens will broadcast 99.9 percent of the time for all new dealer subscribers - an industry-first protection against the biggest problem plaguing dealers' digital signage. Inconsistent or frequent downtime results in undelivered advertising and other customized content scheduled to play in dealer showrooms, service lanes and other customer waiting areas.
"This guarantee is our promise to our dealer partners that there will be no black screens in their stores during normal hours of operation," said Jerry Daniels, CEO and President, ABN. "As a former dealer, I know how busy our subscribers are. That's why it's important to me that we deliver a sophisticated, personalized and reliable service that just works."
According to several industry reports, the global digital signage market is expected to exceed $20 Billion by 2020, so as businesses continue to invest money into digital signage, uptime becomes critical to the company's success.
ABN is able to make this guarantee as a result of its sophisticated, property technology suite, which can be remotely managed and delivers consistent programming to all screens.
"We have a fully managed turnkey solution with a proven reliable design. We're confident in our ability to deliver on our uptime promise," said Daniels.
ABN's 99.9 percent uptime guarantee will provide new customers protection amounting to 50 percent of their quarterly subscription payment, up to $5,000 quarterly or $20,000 annually.
ABN Live
The company also introduces ABN Live, a recently patented new mobile application that provides dealer management with real-time, advanced control over the dealer's digital signage from anywhere in the showroom. With ABN Live, dealers can send new sales broadcasts to congratulate customers on their purchases with personalized images and text, link announcements via social media, and more. ABN Live creates a superior customer experience that rewards and celebrates the customer in a meaningful and memorable way.
"We sold more than 65 cars on a Saturday and every time we used the ABN Live app, the entire showroom started clapping and cheering," said Glenn Lundy, General Manager, Dan Cummins Chevrolet Buick. "The customers love it, we love it. What an amazing innovation to make our customers feel at home when they come here."

Huawei Launches KunLun, the World's First 32-Socket x86 Mission Critical Server
HANOVER, Germany, March 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Huawei launched KunLun 9032, the world's first 32-socket x86 mission critical server, at CeBIT 2016 on March 14. The server sets a new standard in mission critical computing by combining an innovative and open design with breakthrough Reliability, Availability, Serviceability (RAS 2.0) and CPU interconnection technologies. These innovations enable KunLun to deliver superior performance and reliability to support enterprises' mission critical applications on a huge scale.
Commenting on the launch, Zheng Yelai, President, Huawei IT Product Line, said: "Many enterprises are stifled by traditional closed systems that are complex and rigid. Instead of giving them a competitive advantage, their systems are hindering business innovation and growth. Huawei is addressing this through KunLun, the world's first 32-socket x86 mission critical server. Being a new-generation mission critical server, KunLun is based on an open platform which meets the stringent performance and reliability requirements of enterprises' mission critical computing. In our quest to become a leader in mission critical computing, we believe KunLun marks the beginning of a new mission critical server era based on open standards that helps enterprises improve efficiency and agility while reducing costs."
Aligned with Huawei's strategy of collaborating to build a cooperative and win-win ecosystem, Huawei worked with industry-leading partners to develop KunLun. The new server is powered by Intel® Xeon® E7 v3 series central processing units (CPUs) and supports mainstream databases such as SAP HANA; middleware; and Operating Systems (OS) including Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux and Windows Server.
Peter Gleissner, Vice President, Sales and Marketing Group & Director, European Union Region, Intel, Johannes Woehler, Vice President of HANA Platform & Databases, SAP, and Ralf Flaxa, President of Engineering of SUSE attended the KunLun's launch conference.
Peter Gleissner, Intel, said, "Intel is widely used all around the globe, especially in the financial industry and government sector. Huawei's 32-socket KunLun is a leading mission critical server based on Intel processors."

With innovative RAS 2.0 and CPU interconnection technologies, Huawei KunLun server delivers reliability and computing performance that outpaces existing standard IA servers:
Superior reliability: RAS 2.0 proactive fault management ensures service continuity
Huawei's innovative RAS 2.0 technology enables proactive fault management. Based on firmware and independent of OSs, the fault response and diagnosis mechanism of RAS 2.0 allows comprehensive fault information collection and analysis, which automatically isolates risky components, executes failover, or informs maintenance staff of risky components for early replacement before critical errors occur. It is also first in the industry to support online CPU and memory module maintenance without shutting down the server, ensuring continuity of mission critical services and providing a strong foundation for stable business growth.
Ultimate performance: innovative CPU interconnection technology exceeds the industry standard to accelerate business growth
With Huawei's innovative Node Controller interconnection chips, KunLun takes the lead in enabling high speed interconnection for 32, and up to 64, Xeon E7 v3 CPUs, exceeding the industry standard of interconnection for 8 Xeon E7 v3 CPUs. KunLun is also first in the industry to provide both physical and logical partitioning of firmware in open-architecture mission critical servers. A partition can contain one physical core or up to 32 CPUs to meet different computing requirements, maximizing resource utilization. KunLun 9032 ranks No. 1 performance-wise in the SpecCPU_CINT2006 Rates and CFP2006 Rates performance benchmark test, outperforming traditional benchmark mission critical servers. This superior performance will enable enterprises to power their most demanding mission critical workloads to realize business growth and innovation.
There are three specifications of KunLun: KunLun 9008, 9016, and 9032. KunLun 9032 server supports up to 32 CPUs, 576 cores, 1152 threads, and 768 DDR4 DIMMs. KunLun servers apply to conventional databases, in-memory computing, High-performance Computing (HPC) fat nodes, and large virtualization platforms.

Badgeville Extends Gamification into Support, Collaboration & eLearning
New Application Connectors Motivate & Reward Behaviors on More Enterprise Applications - Zendesk, IBM Connections & Skillsoft
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., March 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Badgeville, the global leader in digital motivation, today announced three new Application Connectors that extend Badgeville's behavior motivation and rewards platform across three more of the most popular customer support, collaboration and e-learning platforms: Zendesk, IBM Connections and Skillsoft. The new connectors enable enterprise customers to motivate and gain greater visibility into user behavior in these platforms and expand reward opportunities to drive improved performance.
Numerous studies have shown that intrinsic motivators, like peer recognition and reputation attainment, are far more effective at incentivizing performance than extrinsic motivators, such as financial compensation. But, measuring and delivering these kinds of "soft" motivators is much more difficult. With numerous applications and platforms in use in today's enterprise, insight into behaviors and reward opportunities is typically siloed within each platform, with no way to see how behavior in one platform impacts performance in another.
In his groundbreaking TEDTalk, motivational researcher Daniel Pink punctuated his argument for the power of intrinsic motivation, asserting, "The secret to high performance isn't rewards and punishments, but that unseen intrinsic drive--the drive to do things for their own sake. The drive to do things because they matter."
Badgeville's Application Connectors allow Badgeville to deliver the only solution on the market that enables companies to aggregate, measure and intrinsically motivate desired behaviors across a wide--and growing--application landscape. By tightly integrating Badgeville's platform across enterprise applications, companies can guide and motivate performance and deliver rewards inside the applications employees use every day.
The newest connectors add to the growing roster of customer and employee success applications like Jive, SharePoint, Yammer, Lithium, Office 365, WordPress and Salesforce. Launched in December, the new Zendesk, IBM and Skillsoft connectors enable companies to integrate gamification into:
-- Zendesk's customer support platform to measure, motivate and reward both
internal support staff and customer community members across all
channels of engagement on the Zendesk platform.
-- IBM Connections business social network platform to track, encourage and
recognize team engagement, collaboration, innovation and productivity.
-- Skillsoft eLearning programs to incentivize training participation,
build expertise, understand how learning impacts business functions,
such as sales, productivity, etc., and foster employee reputation
cultivation.

Tektronix Previews 1 GHz Optically Isolated Measurement System at APEC 2016
New IsoVuTM Technology Offers 1 Million to 1 Common Mode Rejection
BEAVERTON, Ore., March 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tektronix, a leading worldwide provider of measurement solutions, today announced that it will be previewing its new IsoVu technology at the APEC 2016 show that will offer complete galvanic isolation between a device under test (DUT) and an oscilloscope through the use of electro-optical sensors. It will be the industry's first measurement solution capable of accurately resolving high bandwidth differential signals in the presence of large common mode voltage. The technology will also offer immunity to external interference and radiated emissions, minimizing the impact of EMI on measurements.
To date, design engineers working on power device designs involving GaN and SiC technologies and other high-speed applications have had no way to accurately visualize differential signals when common mode interference is present. As a result, these signals are essentially hidden, making it difficult for engineers to see what is actually occurring inside circuits, slowing debug and characterization efforts. Engineers also face challenges making measurements in noisy environments or those that have high EMI.
The IsoVu technology being shown at APEC has the potential to resolve these challenges. It utilizes an electro-optic sensor to convert the input signal to optical modulation, which electrically isolates the device-under-test from the oscilloscope. IsoVu will incorporate four separate lasers, an optical sensor, five optical fibers, and sophisticated feedback and control techniques. The sensor head, which connects to the test point, has complete electrical isolation and is powered over one of the optical fibers. Ten patent disclosures have been filed for this technology.
"This is an outstanding example of the type of innovative thinking that drives us at Tektronix to tackle difficult problems that have never been resolved in the past," said Earl Thompson, senior vice president, Time Domain Business Unit, Tektronix. "There's no getting around the fact that an electrical connection between the oscilloscope and the device under test impacts measurement results. By moving to an optical connection, this technology has the potential to eliminate that as a problem and as a result could significantly advance the state-of-the-art in power measurement and EMI test systems."
As demonstrated, IsoVu technology offers greater than 120 dB (1 Million:1) common mode rejection from DC to 100 MHz which is 33,000 times better than previously available measurement systems. At 1 GHz, it will provide 80 dB (10,000:1) common mode rejection at 1 GHz, which is more than a thousand times better than previously available measurement systems. As a result, users will be able to measure anywhere in their circuit without common mode interference.
Using this technology, engineers will be able to accurately measure small differential signals (5 mV - 50 V) in the presence of large common mode voltages less than 2 kV from DC to 1 GHz. This will be the first signal acquisition product where the common mode voltage capability does not de-rate over bandwidth.
Adding to its versatility, Tektronix plans to offer a 10 meter fiber optic cable option with the same performance specifications as the 3 meter option to allow users to move their test system away from the interference and radiated emissions of the device under test. As such, it will be well-suited for such applications as remote testing and EMI validation.
APEC is the premier event for applied power electronics, focusing on the practical and applied aspects of the power electronics business. Tektronix will be showing IsoVu technology along with its full range of power measurement solutions in Booth #1061.

Linksys Adds Clustering Across Entire Line Of Business-Class Wireless Access Points
Clustering Provides Single Point of Control Enabling Small Businesses and IT Administrators to Manage Multiple APs through a Single Interface without a WLAN Controller
PLAYA VISTA, Calif., March 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Linksys®, a leader in networking solutions for the home and business, today announced it will include clustering, at no additional cost, across its entire portfolio of wireless access points (APs) for small businesses. Clustering enables easy management of core AP functionality without the cost and complexity of cloud-based controllers or hardware wireless LAN controllers. This reduces the costs and complexity of managing multiple wireless access points. Originally limited to the Linksys Pro Series Access Point, the clustering feature is now available on all Linksys business wireless-ac access points. Existing Linksys business wireless-ac access point customers can download the firmware upgrade today at no additional cost.
The Linksys clustering feature is designed for small businesses that need a simple, affordable solution to manage multiple access points efficiently. A cluster provides a single point of administration for up to 16 APs and lets administrators view, deploy, configure and secure the wireless network as a single entity rather than a series of separate wireless devices. When an administrator makes a change on one access point, it will automatically push the change to the other access points in the cluster.
Linksys Wireless Access Point Clustering provides a number of key enhancements around simplified management, including:
-- Automatic Synchronized Configuration. Configuration changes are shared
and pushed to all APs automatically.
-- Single View of Access Point Status. A single view of the APs in a
cluster from a single screen enables the administrator to get a snapshot
of the status of all the APs.
-- Dynamic Channel Management. Monitors the congestion on each wireless
channel and periodically adjusts AP channels to the optimal channel.
-- Consolidated View of Wireless User Sessions. One consolidated view of
all clients enables the administrator to monitor the health of all
wireless connections at a glance.
Current WLAN management solutions do not cater to small businesses and are built for the needs of large enterprises that require either a costly hardware controller or a cloud-based management solution saddled with a recurring fee. Existing small business solutions force IT Administrators to choose between deploying costly WLAN controllers, or manually configuring individual access points, a process which is inefficient and prone to errors.
"Our customer focus guides product development, helping to ensure that we continue to deliver quality products purpose-built for small businesses," said Nandan Kalle, director of commercial networking, Linksys. "WLAN controllers are expensive and over-engineered with unnecessary functionality that small businesses don't need. The Linksys portfolio of APs provides the right feature set that small businesses need to run a productive business environment at an affordable price point."
In addition to clustering, Linksys added captive portal across its entire wireless AP product line. This is a fully customizable landing page for businesses to welcome visitors and provide wireless access in a branded environment that is separated from the core business network in order to maintain security for critical business assets.
Kalle continued, "We're committed to delivering value to small businesses and continuing to invest and improve our existing products in order to solve important unmet customer needs, and adding clustering and captive portal across our entire AP line delivers on that promise."
Availability
The clustering feature is available today on all Linksys Business Wireless-AC Dual Band Access Points. Small Businesses and their reseller/managed solution provider partners can download the firmware for Wireless-AC Access Points at

New, Long-Range EZ-BLE(TM) PSoC® XT/XR Module Opens Up Bluetooth Connectivity to New Applications; Cypress Demonstrating Modules at Bluetooth World
SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NASDAQ: CY) today introduced a Bluetooth(®) Low Energy module solution that extends the range of Bluetooth to 400 meters, eight times that of current Bluetooth solutions. The new EZ-BLE(TM) PSoC(®) XT/XR module's extended range opens up the use of Bluetooth connectivity to a broad range of home automation, industrial and smart city applications. For example, it enables a parking meter to receive payments via the Bluetooth connections on smartphones, while also reporting in to a central hub that covers a city block.
The new EZ-BLE PSoC XT/XR CYBLE-224110-00 module is available in a small 9.5-mm by 14.5-mm, 32-pad footprint. The module is the industry's first with an extended temperature range of -40C to +105C, enabling robust operation in outdoor and industrial environments. Additionally, Cypress introduced a new EZ-BLE PRoC(TM) CYBLE-222014-01 module that is the industry's first to enable all three key features of the Bluetooth 4.2 standard--data length extension, privacy and enhanced security--all of which are critical for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The module is drop-in compatible with Cypress's 128/256KB flash memory Bluetooth 4.1 modules. Cypress is demonstrating the new long range module, along with the Bluetooth 4.2 module, here at the Bluetooth World 2016 event in booth number 202 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. More information on the Cypress Bluetooth Low Energy portfolio is available at http://www.cypress.com/ble.
Cypress is also demonstrating an implementation for lighting applications that is compliant with the latest proposal from the Bluetooth Smart Mesh Working Group. Mesh networking extends the range of Bluetooth by allowing devices to send data to and receive data from multiple neighboring devices--a critical capability for many IoT applications.
"At Bluetooth World, Cypress is showcasing both our ability to push the envelope in terms of range and performance and our ability to help our customers leverage the full benefits of industry standards, such as Bluetooth 4.2," said Dave Solda, Senior Director of the Module Business Unit at Cypress. "Our new long range EZ-BLE PSoC XT/XR module coupled with our upcoming Bluetooth mesh solution enables customers to develop innovative products that can simultaneously communicate with billions of Bluetooth-enabled mobile devices and a wide-area Bluetooth network in a cost effective manner."
Cypress's Bluetooth Low Energy modules deliver unmatched ease-of-use for drop-in wireless connectivity, along with the integration and programmability of its PSoC 4 BLE Programmable System-on-Chip or PRoC BLE Programmable Radio-on-Chip solutions. Cypress's modules integrate an ARM(®) Cortex(®)-M0 core, Cypress's industry-leading CapSense(®) capacitive-sensing technology, two crystals, an on-board antenna, metal shield and passive components.
Cypress has simplified the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol stack and profile configuration into a new royalty-free, GUI-based BLE Component--a free embedded IC represented by an icon--that can be dragged and dropped into designs using Cypress's PSoC Creator(TM) integrated design environment (IDE). Application details for Cypress's BLE Component are embedded in PSoC Creator with examples of all supported Bluetooth Low Energy profiles and hundreds of example projects for mixed-signal system designs. Fossil Group to Launch Wearables for Eight Brands and in 40 Countries in 2016
Fashion Approach to Consumer Electronics Products Increases Options and Updates
BASEL, Switzerland, March 15, 2016 /CNW/ -- Chaps, Diesel, Emporio Armani, Fossil, kate spade new york, Michael Kors, Misfit and Skagen will each launch product in the wearables space in 2016, Fossil Group (NASDAQ: FOSL) announced today from its new European headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. More than 100 wearables products - which include display- and non-display watches and trackers - will be available in 40 countries and more than 20 languages by Holiday 2016. The category of wearables offered will vary by brand. Fossil Group will support the wearables with unique and branded apps across all brands, three product categories, and two operating systems. The 2016 launches are part of the company's efforts to bring a fashion-first focus, innovation and an increased variety of products to the wearables industry.
"One of the distinct advantages of a fashion company over traditional consumer electronics manufacturers is our product cycle. We demonstrate remarkable speed to market, from development to launch, in order to meet the retail industry's seasonal new product deadlines," said Greg McKelvey, chief strategy and digital officer, Fossil Group. "The industry has been slow to adapt to growing consumer desires for new styles and options for wearables. With the diversity of major fashion brands we offer, customers will be delighted with the sheer volume of styles and options available when shopping for a wearable that fits their personal style."
With the look, feel and fashion appeal of traditional watches, Fossil Group's digital display watches and non-display watches leverage the company's core competency in making beautiful, quality watches.
Since acquiring Misfit in November 2015, Fossil Group has increased capabilities for the development and production of the technology supporting its wearables products. The company's wearable technology platform includes proprietary power management technology that enables coin cell battery-powered non-display watches and trackers to be deployed across the entire Fossil Group brand portfolio. Without the need for daily, weekly or even monthly charging, the new devices function much more like traditional watches and lifestyle accessories than as typical consumer electronic products that require daily maintenance.
Concurrent with the advancement of Fossil Group's owned technology and research and development capabilities, the company continues its strong partnerships with third-party technology partners, including Google and their Android Wear(TM) platform, to deliver on the company's short- and long-term wearables strategy.
Fossil Group will this week display Fall products - including wearables, watches, jewelry, leather goods and other accessories - to business partners and media in its new European headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, during the annual Baselworld marketplace show for the world's watch and jewelry industry.
Fossil Group has been a proud member of the Swiss watchmaking community since 2002. Between the company's European headquarters in Basel, a design, development and prototyping center in Biel, a movement manufacturing facility in Manno, Ticino, and a watch case and component manufacturing center in Glovelier, Jura, the company employs nearly 500 corporate staff members in Switzerland. Further, its employee-driven Fossil Foundation has supported more than 45 non-profits across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The new, 108,000-square-foot, seven-floor Basel facility was constructed with modern geometric architecture. Three floors of brand showrooms present brand-immersive experiences for each of the company's 17 owned and licensed brands, and a large auditorium and event space provides employees and visitors sweeping views of the Swiss city.

"Braava jet complements our successful Roomba® robotic vacuum by offering customers a separate option for daily hard floor mopping on particularly dirty and sometimes unsavory surfaces."
Braava jet works with Braava jet Cleaning Pads to tackle a range of hard floor cleaning jobs, from wet mopping and damp sweeping to simple dusting. The wet mopping and damp sweeping pads, which contain a water-activated cleaning agent, leave a fresh, clean scent. Braava jet is also simple to use; just attach the desired Braava jet Cleaning Pad and press the 'CLEAN' button. The robot will automatically determine its cleaning action based on the pad chosen, including:
-- Wet Mopping Pad - triple-pass cleaning for dirt and stains(1) on
well-sealed floors
-- Damp Sweeping Pad - double-pass cleaning for everyday dirt and dust on
sealed wood floors, tile and stone
-- Dry Sweeping Pad - single-pass cleaning for dirt, dust and pet hair on
hard floors
Moving in an efficient pattern, Braava jet deftly maneuvers around obstacles in its path and cleans along furniture, walls, and fixtures. Its Precision Jet Spray(2) and Vibrating Cleaning Head help loosen dirt and stains(1) while the Braava jet Cleaning Pads break up and lock away debris.
When Braava jet is finished cleaning, users don't have to worry about touching the dirty cleaning pads. Simply place the robot over a waste basket and hit the 'eject' button to drop the pad into the trash. To keep Braava jet from entering unwanted areas, such as an adjacent room without a door or a carpeted area, users can create an invisible boundary with Virtual Wall® Mode.
Braava jet comes packaged with a long-lasting Lithium Ion Battery, a battery charger, and two of each type of cleaning pad (wet mopping, damp sweeping and dry sweeping). Reusable, washable cleaning pads are available for purchase separately(3).
