I like watching Hugh Grant. Don't know if it's his accent or looks (which are both kind of sexy) but I'll probably rent this one.

I didn't see it, and have to say that the commercial for the movie FREAKS me completely out. I'll be interested to see who has seen it. I am wondering if it is more suspenseful, or really gory. I don't think I can stomach it.

From Thread: Sony once again screws over consumers Old Tue Apr 17, 2007 3:37:46 AM
I had trouble with Stranger than Fiction on my regular Xbox with the DVD package. When loading up UnleashX and playing it from there, it worked fine. I also LOVE it when Sony adds about 5 different copyright notices IN the playing of the movie at the beginning.

From Thread: Your own electricity produced by wind? Old Mon Apr 16, 2007 2:11:25 AM
I was watching CNN and they showed a report about a man that made his own producer of electricity with little turbines made out of plastic connected to a generator, and when the wind moved them, that's how they produced electricity. The whole thing was in Hong Kong. Also, he had a gym where the machines were the ones providing electricity for the gym... litteraly powered by the people exercising! Wouldn't that be a great motivator to exercise in your house?

Granted the source is not the best, but it is very disturbing, I think Aron will agree they make great products

This company has a one man HQ in Switzerland and an operation office in Hong Kong, around 14 employees and a turnover of around 20 million US dollars a year. Hong Kong office experienced a police visit yesterday,

I did try older driver, but still the same error. I think it maybe the card is oc too high as I am testing the slightly downclock and it seems to run the game fine.

From Thread: AMD Cuts Athlon X2 Pricing Old Thu Apr 12, 2007 12:33:12 AM
not just that, amd really need to get their act up. They need to come up with Cool and Quiet driver for Vista (Smile). Also, I think they also need to come up something for not just cpu but also gpu. I know they got something palnned, but they are really not making too much news, except price cutsSmile.

What's nice about the price cut is that I guess you can get a fairly cheap dual core system setup for htpc probably under 200 with that priceWink

Still Intel is going to cut their price and have new cpu (even somewhat cheap quad core), so i think amd pretty much need to have powerful quad core that's cheap in order to gain the momentum that it has on the k8.

Yeah, I haven't listened to the radio since I was 17, not counting when I'm in the car with friends or the other day when the guy I've been seeing dedicated a song to me.
I buy cds I heard about and decide if it's any good or not.
I'm mostly into 60s stuff and britpop anyway, not really easy to find where I am.

They even admit the bill is patterned after failed bills from Utah and Louisiana. It basically looks to define video games (or as they say vidya gaymes) as porn...

Quote

ynne Lyman, a spokesperson for Boston Mayor Thomas Menino (left), told GP that the Massachusetts legislation was patterned after a video game bill then under consideration in Utah. Massachusetts officials, at that time at least, felt the Utah measure had the best chance to succeed.

»Company reads some forums, decides oil cooled servers is a good idea...

As someone says in the article, why not use dielectric liquids instead of oil?

Quote

Suresh Garimella, an expert on electronics cooling at Purdue University in the US is not convinced. Although oil cooling is an established method for cooling electrical components, like transformers, he says a specialised dielectric cooling liquid, such as Fluorinert, has a tried–and-tested record and would be the fluid of choice.

Ya know, with all these vulnerabilities I'm beginning to think Vista isn't as secure as they would have us think.

Most people know this and that's why Vista sales are weak. That being said, I hope Leopard comes out soon and really is awesome to steal the light away from Vista.

»Xbox Live Messanger

Turns out that Microsoft wants to push its Live services out with its gaming service. They are tackling another market segment using their gaming service. Nice try.

Quote

Xbox Live users with friends lists could soon see those lists grow dramatically. Starting May 7, Microsoft will launch a new service called Windows Live Messenger on Xbox 360. This will allow users of Xbox Live friends lists to merge those rosters with Windows Messenger buddy lists. That means users of each service will be able to instant message each other, regardless of whether they're using an Xbox 360, a Windows PC or a Windows Mobile device. In addition, Microsoft will launch a new text input device this summer that will attach to the Xbox 360's controller and will let users type messages using a QWERTY keyboard. Currently, sending such messages from the Xbox requires using an on-screen keyboard or plugging in a USB keyboard.

Not really my type of show... never thought she was funny. But I don't know... maybe I'm just being hard on her... but if you're a woman comedian you gotta bring ya know... and her humor don't do it for me.... especially not enough for a show... but the dog is funny... I've seen a few episodes and every now and then I'll get a laugh or two... but not worth tuning it every week for.
