From Thread: Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Old Tue Dec 27, 2005 1:34:33 PM
Well if you like Civilization games from the past you will love Civ 4.

First off you can lan game which is a #1 point for me in any Multiplayer game.
The graphics have been done well from close up to the global view.
Lots of changes in this game still can have full control but is also easier for a newbie to Civilization.
Easier City Management such as youur cities rioting havent had many problems with it. Always hated that in the old Civ games.
Many more changes that your gonna have to checkout for yourself.

My Rateing is 4 of 5

From Thread: tips for linux, gaming etc all-rounder Old Sat Dec 24, 2005 2:43:18 PM
so I got the MSI mainboard, an Athlon64 3200+, 2x 512 MiB RAM, PCIe ASUS graphics card (I expect GeForce 6600, not sure yet tho), an artic cooling cpu fan and a Xilence 500W PSU (aparently the no-name brand they had at the local computer store when my Dad got a PSU for himself)

I plan to order 2 Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JD SATA disks and connect them via RAID-0 on the onboard controller, a DVD writer and a black MS-Tech case (someone on ASEville has the same one in silver)

I'd rather get a Gameboy SP than a PSP. I've played someone's PSP that had GTA on it. It was alright, I guess. The PSP case-holder looks like somebody's glasses case.

From Thread: Problem specifying scrollbar styles Old Sat Dec 24, 2005 5:20:04 AM
I see you fixed it but here are some suggestions:

Instead of using frames, maybe just use an iframe.

The best way, I think, would to use a div and put overflow: auto; in the style, like this:

Code

#scrolling_div
     {
     overflow: auto;
     border: 1px solid #000;
     width: 200px;
     height: 100;
     background-color: #ade9ab;
     color: #3c804d;
     scrollbar-face-color: #AFD7B3;
     scrollbar-track-color: #AFD7B3;
     scrollbar-3dlight-color: #AFD7B3;
     scrollbar-highlight-color: #CAF6C4;
     scrollbar-shadow-color: #95CBB1;
     scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #AFD7B3;
     scrollbar-arrow-color: #296342;
     padding: 2px;
     }

then in the html, just refer to it with

Code

<div id="scrolling_div">
Hello, you are reading what is in the div. When the box is full of content, a scroll bar appears and lets you scroll. It doesn't use frames or  link to any other sheets, unless of course, you are using a style sheet.
</div>

EDIT: oh yeah, and you should change it, cause frames suck xD

You could make it a div with 100% width, then add your 3 "blocks" in it for each. If you give the middle blocks all the same value, I think they should spreadout evenly.

helps?

If I wasn't such a trend whore and used real AIM I would probably go with miranda-im or gaim before bitwise. The convenience of connecting to already popular networks is something that bitwise lacks.

No, I don't think so. I also don't think the server was 'down' just that some services decided to take a dump (like all of them). Next time I'll be prepared to find out the cause without rebooting the server.

Same here. I recently bought (PS2's) Midway Arcade Treasures 2, Mega Man Collection, Capcom Classics and Taito Legends for the PS2..

I was wondering, does Taito Legends include any of the Chase H.Q. games? Or Super Chase? I've been wanting to pick it up but I want to make sure.

It might've been that, anybody dragged into the war by Bush. It actually sounds pretty reasonable.

You should try and catch an episode of Boondocks, but you're right, I can't stand most of the other Adult Swim cartoons. The only two shows I watch are Full Metal Alchemist and Boondocks. Here's the streaming Boondocks episode I found on youtube. It's the one with Charlie Murphy and Samuel L. Jackson.

The catholic church apparently did that when they had to pick the new pope! (since they picked the last living Nazi)

Yeah dude they didn't let Oprah into a jewelry shop. Now, I can see not letting her into your "tout le fromage vous manger" (all the cheese you can eat), but saying "NOOO NOT ALLOWED BLACK LADY!" to the richest woman in the world is not a smart way to go. I'm fairly certain a KKK Grand Wizard wouldn't mind her shopping at their jewelry store...

I picked Burnout 3 Takedown over Gran Turismo since GT seems like it's geared more towards car enthusiasts. I'm all for the playability factor and playing a game over and over. Gran Turismo's graphics are stunning, though. Burnout's graphics are pretty fine, though.
