Well, there was a First Person view, but you just can't shoot from it, and that bothered me.

As for MGS4, the cast of characters looks kick ass, Vamp/Meryl/I can't remember who else, and I just pray they don't ruin it with Raiden. He does have a baby.......maybe that will keep him incapable of being a main character.

I'll be adding ATOM feeds to the aggregator at ASEville soon: »http://www.aseville.com/userrss.php

I'll also be adding a bunch of FAQ entries tonight to explain what a majority of stuff on ASEville does and is.

ASE will be releasing its own RSS/ATOM feeds soon as well.

No. I just don't want them linked from the domain x.com.

The .htaccess you gave will allow from domains. I just need them to deny from specific domains and allow all others.

I do watermark the images, just not the thumbnails.

From Thread: MAFIA Old Mon Aug 15, 2005 1:01:17 PM
Mafia, as it stands, is the best GTA rip-off made to date (barring, maybe, Simpsons Hit & Run). Back handed compliment? Yes. However, you have to realise that there has been more than 15 of them, all hyped as a GTA killer, all failing as such. Mafia has a far better story than any of the GTA games or the ripoffs (except maybe the first Getaway), is more realistic than any GTA game or its ripoffs (again barring the first Getaway), and is far better quality than any of the GTA ripoffs (barring Simpsons Hit & Run and the first Getaway) and GTA: Vice City. Complex, it is. Complex to a fault, it also is. Fun, it is anyways.

From Thread: Sequel mills still churning Old Thu Aug 11, 2005 11:11:41 PM
I'm all for taking something good and making it better, but we DO need to see something original once in a while. As long as sequels continue to innovate and push interactive entertainment forward, I'll keep spending my dollars on them, but when you buy exclusivity and then try to get people to fork over another $50 (soon $60) for two new features and an updated player roster as EA has done, eventually all but the truly hardcore fans will smell what they're shoveling.

From Thread: Port 445, 139 traffic? Old Tue Aug 9, 2005 4:31:06 AM
What you may be seeing are broadcast packets looking for any domain controllers or other machines on the network.

Let's say your machine has the following:

IP: 192.168.1.100
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Your machine may be sending out a packet to 192.168.1.255, the entire subnet you're in, looking for other available machines. Other machines listen for this traffic, and when they receive a packet, they send out their own. This is how SMB works to discover other machines on your network. These machines then show up in 'My
Network Places.'

Try doing some testing with the command: 'net view' in Windows Command Prompt (cmd.exe) while watching your firewall.

From Thread: Apache+MySQL+PHP Old Tue Aug 9, 2005 4:22:38 AM

Said By moon

hi all
I installed these as 13 steps as this site directed, everything ran well. But when I type http://localhost/, it warns me: "tmp/filename.html couldnot be opend, because the associated helper application doesn't exist, change your association in your pereferences"
I deleted all file generated in tmp/ dir. But it couldn't help.
So what's problem?

I see that this is an old message, but I'll respond to it anyway. If anyone is installing Apache/MySQL/PHP onto their Linux box, try <a href="http://www.apachetoolbox.com">Apache Toolbox</a>. Just select what you want and it will do all the downloading of the required tarballs, extract all files and compile everything automatically for you. It will ask a series of questions to help you configure it to meet your needs.
