I'm not sure how many people are aware of this, but Constantine originated as a character in the comic Hellblazer. He was originally created by comics legend Alan Moore. Many of the film conversions of his work just haven't had the magic of the comics (i.e. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and From Hell). I've heard that Natalie Portman will be starring in a new V for Vendetta movie. I hope it fares better. That was an awesome story.

I recently got this game for both X Box and PC and I have to say, I was completely surprised by how good it was. Not that I don't like the GTA series, I absolutely loved the last two. I also feel I should give my two cents on this whole "Hot Coffee" scandal that has been getting major headlines lately. First of all, I think the fact that Rockstar even considered putting this into their game at any point is really irresponsible on their part. The fact that they actually DID code this and put it into the game, even if it wasn't activated, is downright shameful. But for all of that angst, I don't think Rockstar should be held accountable for it, only for the fact that it was not a readily available portion of the game through any means other than cracking the code. It has not been unlocked in either of the console verions (yet) by any form of code, and it took somoene creating a patch on the PC version (kudos to the guy who actually did it) for it to come to light. I have seen the video of the mod and it really is incredibly graphic and should NOT be in a video game that is intended for the masses. I know I might sound contradictory, but I feel strongly both ways. I feel that Rockstar should not have let the game ship with this code in it, but I also feel that legally they shouldn't be held responsible because it wasn't an intended part of the game as it was presented.

Rockstar has always been known for controversial games. It's possible this is just another attention getter, or one of the programmers secretly put in the scene without Sam Houser's approval, but I wouldn't doubt the first possibility.

I haven't seen the scene, but I'm sure they'll be selling more GTA:SA's after this. Do I think it was a good move by Rockstar to include such an option? I don't think it will hurt Rockstar, the king of controversy in video games and non-censorship. Personally, I don't care if the code is in the PS2 version or not, but I bet a lot of (on the fence) Mother's will be taking GTA:SA away from their kids after hearing this on the news.

Another rockstar game that hasn't been mentioned here was State of Emergency. Now it definitely wasn't their best game, but it was a lot of fun nonetheless. The entire point of the game is mission-based violence on massive levels, it's like a cartoonish version of Manhunt only with much more people. It's a bargain buy right now, so anyone that likes games like that give it a go, it's a lot of fun.

Rockstar is also owned by Take Two Interactive, which have been responsible for quite a few good games on their own, including the ESPN 2K series of sports games most recently. Take Two has been taking risks for years, dating back to a game I used to play for the PC called Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller. Most people gave this game bad reviews, but I really liked it. It was one of the first games to feature real stars as voice talent, with Dennis Hopper being the biggest name in the game. The game dealt in sex, drungs, prostitution, nudity, and was quite controversial for its time.

So in the eyes of God, all men are equal, whether free or slave. Honestly, how different is working for a large corporation than being a slave? The only real difference is that you have to option to leave and work elsewhere. You still have the obligation to provide an honest day's work, and your employer is obligated (by state and federal law rather than religious law) to provide you with a fair wage. As with any contract whether it is master/slave or employer/employee, there will be some workers who will steal (time or money), and some employers who will unfairly exploit their workers (can you say "I make $ .19/hour making shoes for Nike,"?).

I think the next batch may stray a bit from the tech repair stuff, and delve into some internet/gaming/anti-nerd humor: with the same biting sarcasm and rudeness, of course. Don't worry, it still won't be a copy of any other comics out here on the web. I'll still keep to my own sensiblities and style...

I also may change the art style since it was a pain to do it the way i've been doing it (which was one reason they always took so long to get up there.) I think I can make it look better, at least. I still like the real photo look, but all that scanning, coloring, and photoshopping was a real chore. What do you all think? Any other suggestions in terms of content?
